Introduction

Hello! Who am I? That's a good question...I am many things, including sister, aunt, niece, friend, teacher, traveler, reader, adventurer. It's virtually impossible to describe one's self objectively or correctly in such a situation - so I struggle answering this one.

What I'm looking for is a little easier. I am looking for a life-long mate. Getting married is something I'd like to do, but if it doesn't happen, I'm also okay with that. But I just think being married would be exciting - a new adventure to undertake!

As for specifics, I don't have a preconceived notion. I just want a nice Adventist guy who loves God! I love to laugh, so being funny might be a plus. Oh, and someone who travels is a must - I will take a new road simply because I've never traveled it before. Well, and I guess someone who enjoys outdoor/sporting activity would be imperative, too. Plus, he'll have to be a strong person, because I am a strong woman. I guess I do have preconceived notions! But please, contact me even if you think you may not meet the "requirements."

What I'd like to do on a first date...

I really don't care - I just want it to be his idea based on what he has learned about me. I want him to take the initiative and be creative! No pressure!

My past relationships have taught me...

Just a slight disclaimer: I am interested in finding a partner in life. If you're looking for casual dating, I may not be the one for you. If you'd like to be my friend, that's all good - just make it known that that's your purpose!

I have learned that it's okay to be single (strange thing to learn from dating, isn't it?). Too many times, we rush to be in a relationship, or rush to get married, and then we're often unhappy with the results. I can wait to find that right someone without compromising my goal of a fantastically compatible marriage.

To me, being an Adventist means...

Loving the Lord with all your strength, with all your soul, and all your might.

I love my church. Sabbath is such an important part of my definition of church. I look forward to Sabbath each week.

I love being a Christian. I think being a Christian is more important than being an "Adventist". This in no way diminishes the importance of Adventism, but the bigger picture is that I am a follow of Christ, therefore I am a Christian.

In five years, I see myself

I will travel more...I love to see the world! Mission work is something I like to do, but haven't done as much as I would like to recently. I plan to be happy in my life and work, wherever that may be! That's really my goal!

My favorite Bible passage is...

Jeremiah 29:11-13 has always inspired me with the power of God to guide my life in ways that will only make me better. It's such a wonderful view of Him - compassionate, not judgmental.

One final thing I'd like to mention...

While I appreciate smiles and emails, I am not interested in men over the age of 50. Please understand this isn't personal.

Also, please, only men with profile pictures will be considered. Thank you!
