I'm learning that life isn't about pleasing myself, but rather being a blessing to others. With that revelation, at this point in my life, I'm working on being "others centered." I can come of as a shy person, but I promise it's only because I like to observe before getting in the middle of whatever it is that's going on.

I find pleasure in being around/socializing with good company. I love learning, which is one reason why I'm in the field of education. With a love of learning, comes the love of trying new things [within limits]. Other things I find pleasure in include: writing, quiet time, walking as a form of exploration, getting creative in the kitchen, and... lots of other things I've yet to discover, lol.

I like to think of myself as somewhat conservative with a dash of spontaneity. There are days when I am all about routine, and other days when I just like to get up and "do something" without necessarily planning for it.

As far as what I'm looking for in a match: I'm leaving that in the hands of God. I'm praying that He'll send me what I need, and direct the person He has intended for me, my way.

If I sound like someone you'd be interested in chatting with, don't be shy. I look forward to chatting with you!

What I'd like to do on a first date...

An ideal date for me would include an activity (pottery, dirt biking, geocaching, etc.) followed by long walk or a some form of "down time" where we can talk and get to know each other better.

My past relationships have taught me...

Past relationships have taught me to that God has to be the center of everything I do in order to be part of a successful relationship. It has also taught me that open and honest communication is key to building a healthy and happy relationship.

To me, being an Adventist means...

I wish this section said "To me, being a CHRISTIAN means:

God is my EVERYTHING. All good things come from God, including the gift of His son Jesus, my savior. It also means sharing this good news in a world that's becoming increasingly hopeless.

In five years, I see myself

In the next five years, hopefully I'll be walking and talking with Jesus in the New Jerusalem.

Plan B consists of completing a mission trip (or 2 or 3), becoming debt free (more like in the next few months), and meeting the person that God has intended that I spend the rest of my life with.

My favorite Bible passage is...

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths."

Proverbs 3:5,6 KJV

This text reminds me that God is looking out for me. I don't have to worry about trying to figure things out on my own (which is how I've come to live my life before this point in my walk with Christ). I can leave it all up to God, and he will show me what to do, where to go, etc. My life is fully insured with Him and my only payment for this insurance is "trust."

One final thing I'd like to mention...

I am not perfect, nor do I expect you to be perfect. I am looking for someone who I can continue to grow in Christ with.

Feel free to say hello!
