After working at the General Conference of SDA's for 14 full time years (and about 6 student worker years before that), I've quit my job in Human Resources, and am traveling the world. My jobs have never given me much time to travel, so now I'm doing it. I got back from a four month trip the end of May that included Dubai, New Zealand, and Australia. I loved the trip and the sights and people I met. I'm thinking I'll see Europe starting in April 2016.
I've always really enjoyed the people in my life. The best moments in my life and even on this last trip are moments when I met and got to hang out with people. I love meeting new people. It's been a part of my career for over 14 years and is something I will miss at that job.
I enjoy getting outside and being active. Hiking, walking, biking and camping are great. I enjoy a variety of music, food and activities. I live between D.C. and Baltimore, and though I love the country, I also love city life, too. Always something going on and people to meet up with. But at times it's nice to just chill around the house by myself, or catch a movie with friends.
For a life companion I'm looking for someone who has their own relationship with God, has a sense of humor or who enjoys laughing and having a good time, and someone who is kind and patient. Ok, so there's lots more that I could throw on that list, but I won't get into that here.

Something fun and casual that allows us to get to know each other. Dinner and a walk afterward would be great.
I've learned a lot from past relationships. You can't and shouldn't be something you are not, or try to fit the other person into your ideal if that's not who they are.
Having a relationship with God that is enhanced by our Adventist beliefs. I believe in the Sabbath and other SDA beliefs and have found that they have blessed and enhanced my life and spirituality as I've practiced and understood them.
I hope to finish answering all the questions and essays on this site by then, but I'm allowing myself to not be discouraged if I don't meet that goal as I'd hoped.I started out teaching middle school. I love working with kids. But I didn't want to keep teaching as a full-time teacher (I loved subbing, however!). So I fell into the job I followed up teaching with and have been there for almost 15 years. Now I'm looking to find a career I'm passionate about and that I can do for the kingdom of God. I think that is writing. I don't want to wait 5 years for that though! If this is it, I pray God will lead me to this work for Him so that in 5 years I'm established in this career and closer to Him because of it and for my writing's benefit.
I tend to like stories in the Bible and have favorite sections of the Bible more then specific verses. I love the example of Daniel and David, and have enjoyed books like Romans and the Peters.
It's 74 degrees outside right now. Crazy, right?
