Hello everyone - i'm going off the grid for a while (but keeping my profile open to facilitate any contact for the upcoming Singles Backpacking Trip in September -  My temporarily very busy life (graveyard schedule and masters program) has interfered with getting to really know some great people and I feel it isn't fair to those who try to contact me. God-willing that you find whom God has ordained for you - Many blessings!

I'm Karen, I've been described as Melancholy / Phlegmatic. Hardworking, loyal, love my church family! I like making people feel welcomed and enjoy cooking for people and hosting church events such as vespers in my home. I was very active in Pathfinders. Am independent, love to travel anywhere and feel God has directed my path (though I admit that I don't always understand why the route I've had to take).

A few quirky things about me...i love driving, have travelled overseas solo, love pies over cakes or candy, just completed my first Tough Mudder event! and prefer physical labor on mission trips! Oh, and I like to laugh!

I'm a bit conservative when it comes to women in ministry, dress and gender roles.

I seek an imperfect sincere man who 1) has a heart for service 2) a generous spirit and a 3) sense of humor ;)

What I'd like to do on a first date...

Hmmmm - tough one. I'm not a typical 'date' person, ie dinner and a movie, though I guess it would start there. I Would prefer to get to know someone while doing an activity together or working beside them - like on a group activity, or backpacking/camping, hiking, service activity. I feel it is a better opportunity to learn about a person in less-than-ideal circumstances such as those named rather than the typical 'date' It's also an opportunity for others to provide more objective input - cause I might be too twitterpated to be!

My past relationships have taught me...

I am free to remarry under Gods law.

I have learned that we must constantly work on our own character defects and that it is truly a blessing to have a close partner to share life with.

To me, being an Adventist means...

Being absolutely grateful to be a part of the remnant church but also being aware that even the Jews had the truth. It means little if you don't share it, live it and experience it.

Have been an Adventist for 15 years and a member of Fresno Central Church and absolutely Love the family of God! I like going to new churches and knowing there's always family members wherever I go. Also really enjoy doing activities with church members too!

In five years, I see myself

God willing - Become more financially independent by developing my real estate business; free up time to devote to missions (home or abroad); enter into a lasting relationship with someone who shares God's mission for these end times.

My favorite Bible passage is...

2 Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people, who are called by my Name will humble themselves and pray, seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land". A conditional promise from God to all His people!

One final thing I'd like to mention...

I pray everyone finds contentment in whatever relationship status God has planned for them. I have learned that everything goes sooo much smoother and is much richer and enjoyable when God's plans are followed!
