First dates should be an exercize in semi-spontaneity. Of course there should be some familiar landmarks (i.e. dinner, movie, lounge etc...), but each person should be on a mission to bring something new to the other person's attention. Outside the box type endeavors. That's a recipe for dating as well as a continued recipe for a successful marriage. Surprise me, and I definitely will surprise you. Showing up with dressed like a vampire wanting to sleep in a cemetery for the night would be spontaneous and outside the box but not definitely not what I'm talking about:) Vampires, Circus acts, Gypsies and those who think their astrological signs are templates for their lives need not apply.

Past relationships, have been for me, the necessary and vital framework, in constructing the blueprint for knowing whom to date by dating whom I shouldn't.The trick is to minimize the amount of "whom's I shouldn't" experiences:)

That there are a lot of Christian's some of which happen to be Adventists. But being Aventist means that you are a different type of Christian. State of the Dead, Daniel and Revelation, The Advent of Christ and the 3 Angels Message to name a few. I try not to be different, but confident in my difference as an Adventist with humility and empathy. If the truth leads me to have similarities with other Christians, I rejoice in that, but if the truth also leads me to have significant differences with other Christians, (and even some Adventists) I rejoice in that as well.

A more perfect relationship with God. Better relationship with my daughter and my family, friends and those around me. More traveling of the world. more charity for others. And hopefully a marriage.

Proverbs 3:5,6. It sums up a Christians walk. And 1 Corinthians 13:4-8: Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are various languages, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with.

I'm a sinner in need of a Savior, I have a children out of wedlock, which if we kept it real is a no no in the Adventist community. And even more so a no no for Christ. But don't get it twisted, having childrenu out wedlock or any other sin I've committed is not something I think is trivial or take lightly or am dismissive of. In the Bible/and today God seems to utilize the flawed more so than the supposed unflawed to carry out his work. By no means am I saying be flawed so God can use you. I'm saying that God hates the sin but loves and still utilizes the sinner. So hopefully the more I apply Proverbs 3:5,6 to my life the more God can use me. I know this was kinda weighted content but it needed to be addressed as people often assume that others are one dimensional and easily should be dismissed based on there life choices.
