My name is Rachel. I truly love The Lord so much. I am sincere and I don't play games or like it when others do. I try to see the good in others. I like to laugh but I can be quite serious at times. I am realistic and down to earth and a fairly quiet person. I like to be outside in nature and I prefer warm climates to cold ones.
I love gardening, reading, and going for walks. I enjoy going to church on Sabbath and to bible studies during the week. I am more of a cat person than a dog person but I do like some dogs also. I really have a love for cats and one of my favorite things to do is to go to the Humane Society with my son and visit all the cats there.
I am very affectionate, nurturing, and devoted. I am responsible and good with money. I enjoy backrubs. I would love to have someone to cook with. I like eating healthy and learning new vegan recipes. I am looking for someone truely kind, loving and affectionate. Someone who will be my best friend who wants to grow old together. Someone who strives to be patient, caring, devoted, honest, slow to anger, thoughtful, happy, responsible, likes children, accepting, is a good communicator and is always growing closer to God. I realize this may seem like a lot to ask but I am not looking for someone who is perfect. I mainly feel that it is most important to be on a path toward a Christlike character. I strive to be more like Jesus and pray for that every day but He is still working on me as well.

Go for a walk or go out to dinner. It would be nice to walk on the beach and watch the sunset. Or maybe just sit and talk and get to know each other.
I've learned that it is important to take it slow and get to know a person pretty well before getting into a relationship. It is important not to get too emotionally involved before getting to know each other and becoming friends. Also, to let God lead me to the person He has for me. God must be at the center of the relationship and both people need to be completely committed to Him. Communication is very important, as is trust. Also, to just be myself and to accept others for who they are.
Being a Christian and putting God first in my life. It means following the Bible completely. It means giving God my will and my heart each day and following wherever He leads me. It also means being loving and compassionate to all people. Of course, I am a sinner and I fail to live up to this ideal. But I strive to let God lead me each day and to let God be in charge.
I'd like to continue to strengthen my relationship with God and grow closer to Him each day. I want to have a wonderful husband and family and to be a good wife.
They that wait on the Lord will renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
I love this verse because it has so much hope in it. It reminds me that God will give me strength when I need it.
"For I know the plans I have for you," Says the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29: 11
This one lifts me up when I'm having a difficult time. It reminds me that God is in charge, even when it seems like nothing is going right. It also reminds me that God has so many more fantastic things in store for my life as long as I follow Him.
I have a wonderful 15 year old son who lives with me full time. He is a very good kid. He is smart and he's fun to be around. He is good at math and has a great since of humor. I am looking for someone who will be accepting of and kind to him. Someone who will be a good role model to him and will be loving to him. His father lives in town and sees him about once a week. In spite of this, we are not opposed to moving to a different town or even a different state.
I should also mention I have some problems with my neck that cause me pain. It's not something you can't tell by looking at me or knowing me. I know the Lord can heal me and will when the time is right. I know that "all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 God has taught me to be strong through living with pain.
