What I'd like to do on a first date...
Go to dinner and carry on conversation so that I become familiar with their background, likes, dislikes, family, etc. Or, go on an outdoor venture - hike, bike ride.
My past relationships have taught me...
It's not about yourself. It's about God and pleasing the other person. Communication and listening are most important. Let God lead.
To me, being an Adventist means...
Having a daily walk with the Lord, serving others, telling others about the Lord and His soon coming.
In five years, I see myself
With the Lord"s help, to spend quality time with my son and daughter and my grandchildren, and to serve others through Maranatha building projects, volunteering at a food bank and helping youth. Of great importance is to be ready for the Lord's soon return.
My favorite Bible passage is...
Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you, to not harm you, but, to give hope and a future." What a beautiful promise. This gave me a lot of encouragement during a very difficult time in my life.
One final thing I'd like to mention...
I so yearn to have a help mate, friend and lover if it is the Lord's will for my life. This is something I need to take to Him every day in prayer.
