Introduction

I'm pretty easy to get along with. I have friends in just about every type of group. God and family are top priorities in my life. All of the choices I've made brought me to where I am today - I praise God for bringing me to and through all that He has. :)

I've been told that I am difficult to read most of the time, but once you get to know me, I'm at least somewhat readable - kind of like if you were a novel Shakespeare reader, perhaps? Drena Imani is the best way to see me.

I'm open to meeting all sorts of people, but primarily interested in meeting people who live in the DC area - just to have some good Adventist friends to hang out with! :)

What I'd like to do on a first date...

I would say meeting at church or someplace to eat and take a walk would be nice. However, winter walks outside? I'm not a huge fan. There are plenty of museums, etc. in DC though! :)

My past relationships have taught me...

That there is always room to grow and learn about yourself and other people! They have also helped me learn that praying and studying the Bible together is very important.

To me, being an Adventist means...

That I am called to a higher standard. I don't have all the answers, and neither does our church, but I know that the core beliefs that we do have can help me grow spiritually and intellectually as I use the Bible and other inspired material to grow in my understand and my relationship with Christ.

In five years, I see myself

Graduate with my masters in Speech-Language Pathology... Find a nice job and potentially be married toward the end of that 5 yrs.

My favorite Bible passage is...

Romans 8:28 - I used to hate it because I always saw the hurt and never could see God's hand in things... But when I realized that even though I may not see the good in a situation, God has what's best in store for me and those I love and as long as I rely on Him, even though I may be in an awful situation, it will all be good in the end - if not on earth, in eternity!
