...A little about myself... "The block? Been around it. The rodeo? Ain't my first. I've struck the iron while it was hot. I've paid the piper. Tightened my belt. Picked myself up by my own bootstraps... Waxed on. Waxed off. Been washed of my sin. Got dirty again. Sometimes I learned from experience. Other times, I recovered from it. BLESSED with two young, vibrant lives (13 & 19). Was married, got divorced. Had success. Had failure. Been excited. Been bored. Struck a balance. Struck a chord. Wished upon a star, drew the short straw, was the odd woman out. Found a penny, picked it up - all day long, had good luck, and then saved it, and therefore earned it. Walked the line, toed the line, stood in line. Answered a call of Patriotic duty, but let the call of the wild go to voicemail. I hit the ball because I swung at it, more than once. I've been a dead-ringer for a chip-off-the-old-block, and just when I thought I was unique, I was told that so is everyone else. ---In conclusion, I'd like to say GOD Bless you. Be equally yoked in Christ! As Believer's, God gives us the choice and insight to further discover His purposes, even when our detours have led us elsewhere. God doesn't want us to view our lives always looking back, but rather taking those experiences, good and/or bad, and allowing Him to guide us in the right direction and purpose of our future. Life's paths require God's road side assistance, so the lessons learned along the way, only prepare us for the best to come.
To me, being an Adventist means...
The privilege that God has given me, to have had my ancestors before me, who believed the remnant truth, guide me to His ways. There's so much more we all must do, to reach the lives of others around us. As Prophesy unfolds, so must our love and passion as stewards for Christ and His glorious return. We can't allow the snares of life to interfere with how God chooses to channel each of us for good and sharing His "Good New." Cling to Christ, the only perfect example.
In five years, I see myself
I have been dedicated to my career as a private caregiver and worked for the same family for 20 years. Additionally, I represent vendor/manufacturer products through an independent food broker for a National Grocery Banner. I love to sew and have created countless fashion designs during the past 18 years. I will remain prayerful and allow the Holy Spirit to continue guiding my life and longing for the 2nd coming of Christ!
My favorite Bible passage is...
Jer. 29:11 and Rom. 5:8 Both of these scriptures (as so many more) reveal the depths of God's love for us.
One final thing I'd like to mention...
When it is God's will and not my own, I will no longer be content with my singleness. Blessings!
