I am a fun loving, yet serious person. Comfortable in various and diverse environments. I am sociable and like to entertain others in my home, but also like quiet time for reflection, meditation and introspection. I am driven to fulfill the mission God has ordained for my life. I subscribe to and live by Proverbs 16:3(NIV) "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans." I believe that friendship is the most important human relationship, and the foundation upon which all other lasting relationships must be built. After my relationships with God first, family second, friendship becomes paramount. I am confident that ultimately God will work this whole sin problem out, and I rely upon His promises daily in my life. I believe that Jeremiah had it right when he quoted God as saying "Behold, I am the Lord, The God of all flesh: is their any thing too hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:27 (KJV). Accordingly, I have tremendous optimism, abundant joy, and certitude in continued blessings from the Father.

What I'd like to do on a first date...

The first date could be something simple like dinner. The second date should be something memorable like a daylong road trip. Possibly a trip to a major zoo, museum, or athletic event. (Depending on the time of year). I am flexible and open to ideas.

To me, being an Adventist means...

Sharing love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance to others. These Fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22 & 23 should be on display in my life daily.

In five years, I see myself

This is the sort of thing that is best discussed in private after we meet. Whatever I accomplish will be in accordance with 1 Corinthians 9:24(NIV)..."Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize."

My favorite Bible passage is...

Psalm 37 (The entire NIV Chapter) It summarizes for me God's promise of his protection, justice, mercy, deliverance and future guidance in my life.

One final thing I'd like to mention...

My user name "GodSentaMan" is a takeoff from one of my all time favorite books by Carlyle B. Haynes, called "God Sent A Man." The book traces the life of Joseph and demonstrates that through the trials, tribulations and disappointments in life, God was preparing Joseph for his ultimate task as second in command in Egypt. God's providential hand shepherded Joseph the entire time.
