Not to rush into anything and to have a respect for the other person, they may not always be the person you want them to be, but this isn't Barbie and Ken, this is the real world...

Giving the Holy Spirit permission to enter into your heart and embodying the character of Christ. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments... I love Jesus :)

1 Peter 1:3-9 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls."

This passage was such a strength to me after my mom passed away from colon cancer. Christ uses the hard times to strengthen our faith and I know that one day I will receive the goal of my faith- the crown of life. Thank you Jesus. :)

It's unfathomable how God forgives so much (Luke 7:47). There were many times when I've felt like I had fallen into the same sin too often for me to be forgiven "this time", but Christ didn't come to condemn, rather He came to save (John 3:17) and while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me (Romans 5:8)....He didn't wait for me to clean up my act, but knew that by seeing His immense love for me, that that would help change me (2 Cor 3:18) and He has promised to continue to help me grow forever (Phil 1:6)

Christ said, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me" (John 12:32). This is not only speaking of when Christ died for our sins on the cross, but this has a personal application for our own lives. By lifting up Jesus, others will have no choice but to see Him through our lives, which is such a powerful blessing that God chose to let us proclaim!
