Introduction
Hello! I'm a sincere Christian Seventh-day Adventist. I've been very active in church until recently. I'm disabled now, so attendance is a challenge. I putter around the house, do some bookkeeping from home, love to knit, crochet, and sew, work on oil paintings when I have time and it isn't too hot or cold in the garage, sneak off to a fishin' hole now and again, and purely LOVE Southern-gospel music! I have recorded a couple of CDs, but am not really looking for Hollywood or Nashville to call. (grin)
I would like to meet a person who is like-minded. A listener and communicator who is kind, compassionate, financially responsible in the area of personal giving and wise use of credit, honest, loyal and faithful to his commitments. A person who is even-tempered and can see the funny side of life.
Oh, and he mustn't mind being constantly taken for granted and overlook all of my thoughtlessness every day... (joking). No, in all honesty, I try very hard to keep from making ANYONE feel as though I take them for granted, but especially those I love. I've been taken for granted enough that I know the feeling and I wouldn't put anybody through that, especially my beloved. I am thoughtful, warm and compassionate. I enjoy reading the Bible, daily devotionals, praying together, and studying the Sabbath School lessons together. I am generally always tinkering with something, but never too busy to show a special someone they are loved.
I thoroughly enjoy cuddling and snuggling, doing everyday things together as a couple, or sometimes just not doing anything in particular together.
I have my faults, and I know no one is perfect. I'm willing to accept the faults of a good-hearted man, if he'll accept mine. Not that we aren't supposed to be working on them, but hey, life is what it is. Love accepts another person for who they are, and strives to understand them and what's important to them. I view the word "Love" as an action verb, and do my best to show my love by my actions, as well as in words.
I'm generally not one to get angry over things, and I don't mind discussing problems if they arise. I don't usually demand my own way, and I do my best to be a good companion and friend. I believe in treating people the way I would like to be treated, and especially so in a committed relationship. Kindness, gentleness, patience and an even temperament are my most prominent virtues. Oh, I'm human and I can get frustrated, but I don't take my frustrations out on whoever is closest at the time. I go to God and let Him handle it.
I messed up my knee a few years ago and, although it got better after a while, it has since deteriorated to the point that I have to depend on a power chair to go to church and other places. I did have surgery once, but didn't get the use of it back as I'd hoped. I don't know whether another surgery will do any more for it or not. So I don't jog or go walking or ride bikes. Sometimes life throws us a curve ball and we have to do the best we can under the circumstances. But God is still in control. He knows my heart, and He gives me grace to do what I need to do.

I like peaceful surroundings, so just about anything serene and picturesque would be a perfect background to get better acquainted. Probably a meal with lots of conversation would be the best setting for a first date. But, you know, if you happened to have a couple of rods and reels in the back of your truck and knew where a good fishin' hole was... that could be negotiable.

The one most important factor in any relationship is commitment to the Lord. How can two be equally yoked if one is not committed to Jesus??
A cord of three strands is not easily broken. God must be at the center of a relationship in order for it to thrive and be healthy. God's Spirit can help people overcome any temptation, any trial, any conflict, if we but listen and obey His Word.
Communication is the life-blood of a lasting relationship. It is the doorway to understanding.

It is an exciting time we live in. I am thrilled at the opportunity to encourage others as a part of my walk with the Lord. It is important to me to be financially responsible in the area of personal giving, and personally responsible by being active in some form of church ministry.

If God allows, I'd like to get to record some CDs and do some church concerts soon. As to the whole of my future, God has control of that.

"For we know that all things work together for good to those who love the Lord and are the called according to His purpose."
Others include the Sermon on the Mount from Matthew, selected Psalms, especially the 37th and 63rd, and Paul's writings.

Thank you for taking time to read this, and if you'd like to, by all means, say hello. I don't bite... at least, not often. *chuckle*
