Introduction

I am a fun loving person who tries to get along with everyone as Jesus asks us to. I have been an Adventist for most of my life (from the age of 3), and my no. 1 goal is to make heaven my home. I'm looking for a companion who desires the same thing where we can make the fairy tale ending which says, "and they lived happily ever after" a living reality. I love going out to eat sometimes and at other times I like staying home. I love travelling by plane to visit friends and family or for vacation, but when driving I don't like to rush. Instead I prefer to stay in a motel over night and continue the next day enjoying the scenery. My favorite foods are mac & cheese, sweet potatoes, stringed beans, potato salad, fried chicken or roast beef, but I do eat vegetarian meat and as a matter of fact I'm trying to get back to vegetarianism which I was raised up to be. I love football and basketball (professional) and at times go to the games. But I'm always open to new adventures. Finally, I have 3 sisters and one brother with one deceased brother. My mother is still living and my father passed away in 2007. I'm in church every Sabbath and am a Sabbath School teacher, sing in a quartet, went to church school since 4th grade including an academy called Pine Forge in PA. and Oakwood University in Alabama. Essays

What I'd like to do on a first date...

Get to know the person whom I am dating by going out to dinner or to a place of her preference, and letting her get to know me.

My past relationships have taught me...

Never rush into anything. Never tell God that she is the one for me. Bless me with her. Instead ask God "if" she is the one and if it is Your will bless me with her. And if not I know you have some one even better than her so I trust in your decision even though I really like this one. "When praying don't give God instructions; report for duty".

To me, being an Adventist means...

Preparing not only for Christ's second coming but helping others to do the same. I am one of God's peculiar people called for a time such as this to stick out as a sore thumb letting my light so shine before mankind, so that they might see my good works [Christ in me] and glorify my Father which is in heaven. Not only in words but in deeds, in health, and in keeping his holy Sabbath, making Him known as Creator and Redeemer of earth, and that the seventh day is the true day that He has blessed and sanctified [made holy].

In five years, I see myself

Hopefully find the right mate where we can work hand in hand to help finish God's work and live in His soon coming kingdom happily ever after.

My favorite Bible passage is...

FOR HE SHALL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER THEE...BECAUSE HE HAS SET HIS LOVE UPON ME, THEREFORE WILL I DELIVER HIM....HE SHALL CALL UPON ME, AND I WILL ANSWER HIM: I WILL BE WITH HIM IN TROUBLE; I WILL DELIVER HIM, AND HONOR HIM. WITH LONG LIFE WILL I SATISFY HIM AND SHOW HIM MY SALVATION. PSALMS 91:7-16 The time of trouble such as never was since the beginning of time is right upon us, and we are going to need a promise of God that will help see us through this most terrible time. If there was ever a promise that can and should give us hope and consolation, it is this promise of all promises found in Psalms 91. We should all commit it to memory.
