What I'd like to do on a first date...
Meet for tea or a meal together where we can talk, have fun and get to know each other. =)
My past relationships have taught me...
That God has to be first. As long as we are diligently following Him, all things will work for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. It's easy to lose focus in the euphoria of infatuation, but I'm grateful to have good family and friends to help me keep my feet on the ground and my eyes on Jesus.
To me, being an Adventist means...
Following Jesus. As long as I walk with Him, I have the assurance of strength, hope and love. The beliefs of the Adventist church match all that I believe to be true. As I daily read the bible, I know that I am hearing from God Himself, and rest in knowing that I am following His guidance to the best of my ability. When I fall, there is unlimited grace and love, but His discipline is for the shaping of my character to prepare me for an eternity with Him.
In five years, I see myself
If it is God's will for my life, I would love to get married, make a home together and have little ones. =)
My favorite Bible passage is...
Galatians 5:22 & 23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." I pray every day that He would empty me of my selfish nature and fill me with the fruit of the Spirit! May my countenance shine with love, joy, peace, patience (please Lord!), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness, but mostly, may I practice self-control no matter what storms come my way.
One final thing I'd like to mention...
I strive for balance, wisdom, and peace in my life. I want to surround myself with those who are like-minded, fun, encouraging and will continually point me to Jesus. And, when I'm not surrounded by those dear ones, may I inspire others without being influenced.
