Introduction

First and foremost, I am a SDA christian and not in name only. I am serious when it comes to my belief, The Bible and The Spirit of Prophecy. I am not a fanatic, but I do try to practice what I preach.
I enjoy Bible studies, biking, walking, gardening (very much), nature, knitting(I'm just learning), history ( especially Biblical history), volunteering, spending time with family and friends, watching cds (also going on their web sites) of end time evangelists (especially Stephen Bohr and Walter Veigh).
I am a jovial-type person. I like to laugh and enjoy myself with friends and family. I am a vegan and have been for about 20 yrs. I have been a vegetarian for almost 30 yrs. My motto in life is, "Do unto to others as you would have others do unto you". Respect is very high on my list. I am a compassionate individual and I believe in helping those who are less fortunate than I am. My goal one day is to be able to go across seas and do mission work at least once in my lifetime, but I also realize that there are mission fields all around us and I want to do my part wherever the Lord sends me.

What I'd like to do on a first date...

Spend time in a (public setting) talking and getting to know each other. Dinner would be nice. Maybe a walk in the park.

My past relationships have taught me...

Not to be anxious for anything. To wait on God and to listen to that still small voice which I have been guilty, in times past of ignoring, to my own demise.

To me, being an Adventist means...

Means that I am not in this world only to please self. That the commission that Jesus gave to the disciples in Matthew 28:19 should be the aim of every SDA. We have all been bought with the precious blood of Jesus. We have the unadulterated truth, but sadly enough, a lot of us, if asked, would not be able to adequately tell you just why they are a SDA, and that to me is sad. Being a SDA is more than just going to church on Saturday, not eating pork, not wearing jewelry, etc. It's about getting to know God and His truth. It's about standing firm for what you believe when others don't. It's about not compromising. My greatest and most longing desire in life is to be with Jesus in heaven.

In five years, I see myself

To be doing more of the Lord's business. To finish my masters. To possibly start my own business. To become debt free and to find a nice quiet place in the country, a place of serenity.
