It depends on how well I know the person. Probably something relatively short and informal such as meeting for tea or hot chocolate at a cafe and getting acquainted. I tend to like cultural events or casual, calm activities and the opportunity to get to know the other person, and, if I don’t know them well, the chance to walk off some of those nerves!

True happiness is found in relationships. Whether family, friend, or lover, relationships make life richer, deeper, more meaningful, and satisfying. Our relationships are developed and enhanced through commitments of time, communication, honesty, acceptance, kindness, respect, and curiosity.

Adventism is spiritual, doctrinal, and cultural. I generally accept the church’s beliefs, standards, and lifestyle. As I grow, I try to focus on knowing God, surrendering to His will, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform me into a loving, mature Christian.

I recently took a pottery class and it was the best thing I ever did, and I want to explore painting, pottery, and other creative pursuits. I'd like to travel more and see other parts of the country and world. I'm considering another graduate degree.

I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed. (Ps. 34:4-5)

Since Eden, fear and shame have marred our characters. These verses encourage me. They remind me that God is good, merciful, and gentle. He heals us, transforms us, and gives us joy.
