I'm a great catch. How do you know? Because I just told you. An SDA/PK from way back. Wanting to do Gods will..."not by might, nor power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of host."
Looking for a friend of equal yoke. I am fully aware that no one is perfect. "...all have sinned..." If you are looking for the perfect man, look to Christ, not to this retch. For it is only by His power that I seek His will in my life.

What I'd like to do on a first date...

I am a big fan of nature. Even with the degradation sin has caused. There is still so much God given beauty in this old world. Enjoying the warmth of the sun on a laid back summer day, the beautiful colors and cool breezes of fall, the purity and joy that can be found on a cold winters morning, or the beautiful beginnings on a blooming spring day...as long as we end up in front of a warm fire place sipping on a hot mug of tea or in the porch swing with a glass of lime aid. It's all good.
What can i say, I my have lived and worked in the big city a good portion of my life but I'm country through and through.

My past relationships have taught me...

#1 Don't try this alone. ..."with God all things...without God..." not gonna happen.
#2 The prime impotence of both parties wanting Gods will in there lives and in there relationship for as long as they both shall live.
#3 Let it happen in Gods time not my own. "His ways are not our ways..." He has a plan for all our lives, let Him bring that plan to fruition, while not forgetting to "...do what is at hand".
#4 And so much more.

To me, being an Adventist means...

First and for most the absolute need to do Gods will. Holding all beliefs, traditions, inspired writings up to Gods word, the Bible. If studied with the guidance of the Holy Spirit it will show the truths and falsehoods of all things.
This is why i am a Seventh Day Adventist.

In five years, I see myself

I recently, believing it Gods will, moved from the city back to the country and i have received blessing after blessing. knowing jobs are scarce, even more so in the country, God has provided work for me with an income greater than I had in the city. I am a licensed electrician, working on my masters license and the infancy of my own contracting business.
Always continuing my walk with God, giving myself to him daily, to make of me a man of God, loving God and others the way he intended. "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
And of course the reason I'm here...a partner, a wife, and a friend for life. Life: Both in a day to day and future sense.

My favorite Bible passage is...

Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

I think this one speaks for itself. But if you must know, working long laborious hours through out the week is the least of it. In case you didn't know the devil does not like it when we try to walk with God, he does not make it easy and without that God giving rest, I'm sayin, I would not be here right now.

One final thing I'd like to mention...

I have not always sought to walk the strait and narrow. In fact for most of my life I have walked strait for destruction. But because of Gods unending love and the support of family and friends He has turned me around, a full 180 back toward Him. Still a long way to go, the devils not going to just give up, BUT..."If God be for us who can stand against us"!?
