I was born to my amazing God fearing parents. They raised me as a Seventh-day Adventist Christian which I am very thankful for.

I have grown in many ways and I appreciate the lessons from my parents of how to be an upstanding southern gentleman who loves the Lord and who will treat his lady in the way she was meant to be treated.

I feel that I am a respectful and a stand up guy. Other great qualities that I believe that I have are: love, respect, determination, and more for which I hope that you will find out when we meet.

I feel that I am an old soul that was born in the "wrong era". I enjoy big band music, jazz, rock and other types of music.

I believe that Family/friends are first priority and then work is second.

For fun I like to do many things. Originally from Florida, I must say that I love going to the beach to grab a tan enjoy the scenery. I also love to fish. Fishing is part of my core being. You will figure this out either by reading this profile or when you date me. It is one itch that needs to be scratched.

I am an athletic person. I enjoy watching/playing/and talking sports. I would rather play sports than watch, but professional sports (NFL Football on Thurs/Sunday/Monday is my vice) provide an exception. The one sport that I think I'm great at is Racquetball. I would rather play this than tennis, but I can hold my own in tennis unless you are "pro". Even though I am a Floridian, I do enjoy going snowboarding and snow skiing.

I like to exercise quite a bit to keep my athleticism up and going. I like to weight lift and run to keep my body in shape. I hope that you like to keep yourself in shape and like to be active. This way we can do everything together if we wanted too.

Lastly, You should know that I have long standing goals and aspirations. Also, I hope that you have goals in your life too. Fulfilling these goals I have had to invest all my life in school (I'm still in school) to one day--become an outstanding physician. I'm not sure what type that I want to be, but I hope to be a great one eventually.

I want a girl who will hopefully understand my commitment to my dream as I will understand that I have my commitment to you as well.

What I'd like to do on a first date...

Because of my love for the water, I would like to take my date to the beach so that we could enjoy each other's company under the sun. We could just shoot the breeze or even go in the water and catch some waves.

My past relationships have taught me...

Past relationships have taught me that there needs to be an understanding of each others separate lives in a dating relationship. In order to respect the other person--You need to have patience, understanding, and forethought.

To me, being an Adventist means...

First I would like to say that being--Adventist--means that I am Christian. I believe that Jesus died on the cross and saved me from my sins and will one day come back and take me home to heaven.

I believe that Jesus can save anyone at any point in their life. To get saved, I don't believe that you HAVE to do all of what E.G White says.

I do believe that Saturday is the true Sabbath day and that is the day I prefer to worship on. I don't feel that going to church every Sabbath is necessary for a good relationship with God. I believe that I could be even closer to him camping in the woods and exploring. However, I do believe that being part of a Adventist community is necessary for building strong relationships both vertically and horizontally.

Being Adventist means nothing to me unless you are FIRST a Christian. If you "follow the rules and believe the 'truth'" that is not enough if you DON'T have a Christian character.

In five years, I see myself

I am currently in school at Loma Linda University full time in their Medical program. I plan to graduate from there in 1.5 years and become a physician. Residency is the next step and I don't know where I will be going or what specialty I will be in. I still have more time to think about it.

My favorite Bible passage is...

Galatians 6:9
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.

The English phrase, "Good things will come to those who wait" is what I feel like my life has been. I have invested in my whole life in my education and will one day finally be able to see the results of my investment.

Also, I have been very picky on which type of people I will allow myself to date. I'm waiting for the one.

One final thing I'd like to mention...

I believe that a relationship is 50/50 in all things.
