Shy at first, but once I get to know someone and get comfortable I am outgoing. I am very opinionated and stubborn. I can't be pushed to do something I don't want to do, but when I do decide to do something I throw my whole heart into it. For me, failure is not an option. What I'd like to do on a first date...
Something casual, but interesting. Not super picky as long as it doesn't include anything super crazy. I want a conversation starter, something that will help break the ice and help me get to know you.
My past relationships have taught me...
Communication is the key to any good relationship. Being comfortable enough to be yourself so no one gets the wrong impression is important too. Honesty, reliability, emotional avaliability, and a desire to know God better as individuals and together with someone else are all keys for me. I don't want to change who I am for you, last time I did that I wasnt happy. In order for any relationship to work, both people have to be willing to be happy with who God made them, and not try to manipulate or push the other around. Forcing change, even if it is for a good reason always ends badly. I know I have challenges and character flaws, I'm deffinantly not perfect, but I have a hope that one day someone will find me who will learn to love me just as I am, flaws and all.
To me, being an Adventist means...
Being able to be honest about who you are as a person while striving to know God better.
In five years, I see myself
I want to do something meaningful for people, but I'm not quite sure yet what that will be. My goal has always been to mean something to someone, even if it's just a smile to brighten someone else's day then I have achieved something. So in the next 5 years I want to connect with people, to help them when I can and to point them in the right direction.
My favorite Bible passage is...
Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee. I love this passage because it makes me realize that through the good and the bad Jesus has always loved me and will continue to draw me to Him.
One final thing I'd like to mention...
As humans we all make mistakes, but it's how we handle them that makes us who we are. God doesn't make us do everything ourselves and we need to be aware of that. I hope that whoever sees this profile will be willing and able to accept who I am, not try to change me, but help me towards the higher goals I set for myself. I want to know God better and be faithful in what i know to be true. Hopefully someone will join me in the race, I'm looking forward to getting to know you.
