What I'd like to do on a first date...
I am a bit old fashioned and would rather get to know a person before the "first date"....
My past relationships have taught me...
That it is important to be yourself and to be willing to take the bad along with the good. I know that love is real and that we all have that one person God has planned for us....and I am willing to wait for him.
To me, being an Adventist means...
I believe the Adventist message because it is based on what God has told us in His word. I do not claim to be a perfect Adventist and know that I fail in many areas but I do know that God is my judge and my beliefs let me know that as long as I stick close to Him, He will mold me into the person I am meant to be.
In five years, I see myself
I want to finish raising my son and see my children pursue their educations. I plan on continuing my current job as a Head Start teacher and using my job to help change the lives of others. I also hope that within the next five years God will have led me to the person I am meant to spend the rest of my life with.
My favorite Bible passage is...
There are so many Bible passages that I enjoy but I think my favorite is a favorite of many. I find a lot of comfort in Romans 8:28. I believe that we all need to remember that even when things don't go as planned and IF we love Him and follow His lead, He WILL take care of us, however, it is important to realize that God taking care of us and working out our situation for good, does NOT mean that it will go the way we want or had planned.....it does mean that HE knows best for us and that is where FAITH comes into play! We need to trust Him to know He is ALWAYS taking care of us!
