I am creative and fun loving, hard working and loyal (it is hard to blow your own horn). I am constantly striving to be a better person....sometimes that is a lot of work! I don't know if any of us see ourselves completely, I have blind spots so describing myself may not be as accurate as it should be. I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder and though I think of myself as a good person I know I am not going to be for everyone. I have had losses in my life but they have all made me want to live life to its fullest, to love my friends and family more completely. I am not special in what I like to do but I am adventurous and want to experience new things. And I really like the ordinary and mundane things of life as well, some of the most amazing things have happened when I have been doing nothing at all!
The person I would like to have in my life is someone who believes that respect is the foundation on which all relationships are built, from which everything springs....love, intimacy, companionship etc. This means to me that we speak kindly and if tempers flare that resolution and an attempt to fit your feet in the other's shoes. Apology, not just when you are wrong but maybe for restoration. So when life gets tough (it happens to us all) the towel doesn't get thrown in. That it isn't about who is right and proving who is wrong. That when conflicts arise that you work them out. I also would like that person to be a success in their life. Not just financially (what I mean by this is being responsible), but personally as well, that they have good relationships with their family, friends and church.

I think I would just like to meet face to face....no romance at first just getting to know one another. People are fascinating and everyone has a story. After the nervousness is over, going to the beach or walking around the Public Market or a ride on a Ferris wheel would be fun.
They have taught me to be courageous. It is so hard to lose a relationship that you have worked at for so long but all of that pain and heartache shouldn't be for nothing, it should always produce something good in us.
The only person I can change is myself but I have learned to be cautious in changing too much. I think wanting a relationship to work so badly that you allow it to chip away at who you are is dangerous.
They say we teach others how to treat us but I think we first must begin with ourselves. We must love ourselves. Not in a narcissistic sort of way but a healthy God-centered way. And isn't that what Jesus said? To love others as we love ourselves? It must start with us.
Being a follower of Jesus....that's what it means to me! I accepted Him into my heart when I was 17 and my walk has been up and down some big hills but I have never walked alone. This last year, though, has brought me so much closer with the realization (I know it sounds simple) that Christ values me, He wants to prosper me in all areas of my life. I talk to Him throughout my day and He wraps His arms around me, I feel His presence.
I love my church family and our worship services. I so enjoy praising God through music especially. It goes straight to the heart, bypasses any reserve, such freedom!
I love being an Adventist.....it is not only a way of relating to Scripture but it is a lifestyle. I have raised my children to love this church and I am so proud of each one of them as they are raising their children to love and respect it too!
I really want to learn to speak Spanish! I love to travel so that is always in my plans.
There are so many that I cannot choose just one! The Bible is a constant source of comfort, encouragement and wonder to me.
The thought of being single at this stage of my life is scary and exciting at the same time.
