Introduction
Always want to learn something new. My favorite quote is "So many books...so little time!" But life isn't all academic quests, it is about having relationships with family and friends. My son and daughter-in-law are most important to me.
I need to love as much as to be loved; I am motivated and charged by teamwork as much as by retreating in solitude. I need order and chaos, peace and adventure. I need someone to flirt with and with whom to share the absurdities of life, laughing until our ribs hurt.

Talk! It might be talking at the coffee shop or enjoying time at a museum. Movement! It might be walking in park or exploring a new town.
My favorite date at a museum was to make a kite at the Boston Musuem of Art and then flew it on Boston Commons! Recently, I visited Mount Vernon while celebrating George Washington's birthday. I would also hike around a battlefield! But since my family plays so many family board/card games, you might find yourself playing Boggle.

*When God is in the middle of a relationship, it cannot easily be broken. *Humor wins! *It isn't about finding someone you can live with, it's about finding someone you can't live without! *Focusing on someone else to love gives you perspective that can't be learned otherwise. *A soul mate is often developed over time. *A marriage relationship teaches me more how God relates to mankind than producing a child does.

Putting Jesus first in everything and having a personal relationship and commitment to Him over anyone else. I am a God-follower first, then a Seventh-day Adventist. I grew up in the church, lived in the mission field, work in the denomination, and so Adventism is my culture, but knowing Jesus is my life.

A couple of years ago I had a taste of writing and creating Bible studies (that were actually published!). It was the most exhilarating experience of my life! I want to do it again.
I had to use my Biblical knowledge which includes stacks of journaling through my studies in the Bible, my small group experience, my education training and teaching experience, and my capability of seeing the big picture and intuitive understanding of what needs to be done to pull together the project. I became involved in the first place because of my writing/editing skills to get it ready for publication. I was wired up to do that!! Did I say I want to do that again?
I would like to have developed a ministry of Bible study. If I would just sit down and systematically write about what we learn each week in weekly Bible study that only lasts 30 minutes during Thursday noon hours, so we've been studying the Gospel of Mark for more than a year--taking one passage at a time, often revisiting it a second time.
Being responsible for the study (we don't follow a guided text) has transformed my life to be in consistent deep study, using about 12 different commentaries and books. This study allows me to be immersed in daily contemplation of Jesus! I now know that I never want to be in the situation of not being immersed in God's Word.

Right now I love the entire Book of Mark that I'm studying because of the picture of Jesus I've discovered. He is the humble servant and the suffering Savior. He is so full of compassion, yet so full of purpose and courage. We give Him awed respect and are amazed, yet approach Him as children. He is what everyone needs and who everyone wants to be. He is everything to me.
