Sometimes I wonder if we should all just list our faults here and then say, “Contact me if you think you can live with this!” ;-)

I am a farm girl living in the city. While the city is very convenient, I enjoy getting away from it when possible—usually my vacations are away from cities. I am a caring, compassionate person. Funny. Responsible. Laid-back at times,(/span) but serious when I need to be. Love to travel and wish I could more.

My favorite book outside of the Bible is Steps to Christ, followed by Patriarchs and Prophets. I am vegetarian and mostly vegan--have been vegetarian my whole life. Working out at the gym is my stress relief. I also enjoy riding my bike and feeling the wind in my hair. I would like someone in my life who could support and even encourage a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy writing and have had some small things published. I am working on a devotional book I have been encouraged to complete and publish.

I treasure my time with my “children”—they are too old to be called children. We love to laugh and talk and just generally have fun! For us a fun night is spent laughing together, and often a bit loud. While my four teen/young adult children are a high priority for me, they need less and less of my time as they move toward being on their own. Currently all live at home--intermittently between summer jobs, mission trips, dorm, etc, I am so blessed not to have the struggles and arguments many of my peers have with their kids. God has answered my prayer and filled in the gaps of my parenting.

What am I looking for? A friend. A life partner. Someone to share “our” good times with—because it is always exciting to share fun with someone you love. Also someone go through “our” bad times with—because they will come sometimes. Someone who is actively seeking God and to know Him more. Someone who wants to be the priest of the home. Someone to grow old with and grow spiritually with. Someone who believes marriage is for life and is willing to work out the problems with God at “our” side because they value the marriage.

Married once for over 20yrs. It ended 3 yrs ago for reasons beyond my control and was biblically justified on my part. Anything can be worked out with God involved, but it takes all three of us…

What I'd like to do on a first date...

Letting him make the plan will help me get to know him better.

My past relationships have taught me...

That when someone wants out of the relationship... That sometimes no matter how much you believed marriage was for life, there comes a time when you just have to let go... Cannot make another person change.

To me, being an Adventist means...

Being a Bible believing Christian. Knowing there is hope for the future. Having a God to depend on. I do not know how anyone can live without God.

In five years, I see myself

I hope Jesus comes in that time but until that occurs... Launch 4 young adults into life. Find a low-cost, no-debt way to advance my career. And if it is in God's plan I would like to be married and doing some ministry together to further the wonderful message we have to share.

My favorite Bible passage is...

John 14:1-3--That is our hope.
1 John 1:9--because I need forgiveness like everyone else

One final thing I'd like to mention...

If it is God's will for me to be married again, it will be a relationship in which we both help each other grow closer to God.

I do not know if it is possible to get to really know anyone on this site. It seems a little like catching fish, sizing them up in 7 seconds or less and then throwing them back. I'm guessing I am just as guilty as anyone else on that point. I would ask you give time to get to know me as I will you. Honestly, I am a pretty amazing, loving person, but I am slow to get to know people.
