I'm old fashion and think that a man should contact me first. :) I am at a time in my life where my children are raised and I now have time to think about my life and what I want. I love living in a rural area or on an empty beach. I have to have time away from the city and noise. Love to travel and my passport is ready to go. :)
I am looking for the godly man that God intends for me to have in my life. A "Mighty man of valor", a "Man after God's heart", a man that wants to be and is trusting in God to be everything God wants him to be. Most important is that he is doing what he believes God wants him to do.

What I'd like to do on a first date...
Visit and get to know each other better. I like to read books by James Rollins, Brad Thor, Vince Flynn, etc. So would probably meet at a bookstore or coffee shop. I'm interested in science and I am always curious and doing research about something.
My past relationships have taught me...
To trust God and be true to my feelings. God's way is always the right way! Want to get to know someone and for them to know me and like each other for who we are individually. Respect is so important.
To me, being an Adventist means...
Looking for the soon return of our Lord. Being faithful to the Lord. Trusting the Lord to lead and guide me. Obeying His Commandments. Being grateful for everything, especially the mercy and love of our Father. I was a Baptist that had my eyes opened about the importance of keeping the Sabbath. 3ABN has taught me about death, eternal life, and Jesus return. I embrace many of the teachings.
In five years, I see myself
Right now, I am putting an addition on my home and it will take a few years to finish it. I want the Lord to use me where He wants me. I trust in the Lord to lead my life. I feel that God has me on "hold". :) So, I am waiting on Him and His timing to lead me. Here I am Lord, use me!
My favorite Bible passage is...
Proverbs 3: 5-6 "Trust in the Lord with your whole heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path". This is my favorite scripture and followed by Romans 8:28. Romans 8:28 "All things work together for the good, to those who love the Lord and called according to His purpose". I know that God is in control of all things. There are no accidents. God loves us and works everything out for our good. Praise the Lord!
One final thing I'd like to mention...
I believe in the sovereignty of God. Because of the love and mercy God has shown me, I want to be everything He wants me to be. I am trusting in Him to take care of me, meet my needs, and bless my life. I am so thankful that God is in control and I can rest in Him. :)
