Introduction

I am quiet laid back in personality for about 90% of the time. The other 10% is fun-loving and adventuresome. A mature individual still trying to hold on to the little boy inside. I am a dog lover and Jett is definitely this man's best friend. I live near the Smoky Mountains National Park. I am not one for change but am learning His leading hand. I am here to find friends and expand my horizons with getting to know other people.

What I'd like to do on a first date...

I would like to eat. Oh, let's face it, what guy does not want to go out with a girl and eat good food? A hike in the Smoky's or Cade's Cove. I think sitting on the banks of the lake or river is a fine date too. There might be a fishing pole involved and a worm or two. :)

My past relationships have taught me...

A friend is someone who never turns their back on you. True friends encourage and lift you up when your down. I think a good mature woman knows how to make a man and a deceitful beguiling woman knows how to break a man. I am loyal to a fault. I have also learned to be genuine and just be myself. Being true to oneself is big on being honest in a relationship. Life is short. Live it, laugh and love often. Make sure its with someone you can trust.

To me, being an Adventist means...

I was born and raised Adventist. Being Adventist to me means to walk close to the one that gave His life for the sins I did, and will do. I am definitely not perfect so I look for His redeeming grace and mercy every day. Seeking to make my destiny with Him and live my life in a way that others see Him reflected in my life is important to me. I can't be everything to everybody but God can.

In five years, I see myself

In the next year I would like to have my SPHR certification. I absolutely love my job and want to do the best I can in hiring, training and nurturing a healthy workforce for any business.

My favorite Bible passage is...

Hebrews 12:11-14
11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. 12 Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. 14 Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
This puts discipline in a positive light. I think most of us dread discipline but it should rather be a virtue. The rest of the verses give me drive to do what is right. It is very motivating to me.
Also...
All flesh is like grass
and all its glory like the flower of grass.
The grass withers,
and the flower falls,
but the word of the Lord remains forever. -1 Peter 1:24-25

One final thing I'd like to mention...

I love being outdoors. I love working with my hands in craft. Playing with my dog and helping each other keep fit. Fishing, biking, camping are things I love to do as well. I like to cook and am a decent cook. I like to listen to music with it cranked up (fair warning) and sing like nobody is listening. ;)
