Introduction

*Serious yet funny - been informed I would be an awesome stand-up comedic or sitcom actress...yet some say I'm serious and quiet. I think it depends on the situation and environment.... go figure! :)

*Workaholic but yet what I do as "hobbies" is also my full-time employment as I work for myself. So, maybe I'm a playaholic ?? I would love to do more traveling and hiking to that remote location with camera in hand...2013 is going to be an awesome year!

*Ambitiously timid and yet it may be just mental as those around me say I'm not shy - guess maybe more so stage freight!

*I am naturally quiet and do not have the need to be in a crowd. I could be with someone and totally be comfortable chatting or in complete silence, just enjoying the company and scenery.

*I'm creative, love to garden.

*Rescuer of animals and birds, both domestic and wild, mostly abandoned babies.

*I study from only the Authorized King James Version of the Bible and the original Spirit of Prophecy (SOP).

What I'd like to do on a first date...

There are a lot of possibilities to have a non invasive way to get to know one another. Open to possibilities and suggestions!

*We could get together and make a home cooked vegetarian meal.

*As a vegetarian, nearly every restaurant serves vegetables without meat or meat grease.

*This country squirrel would be fine to just taking a drive or walk chit chatting to get to know one another.

My past relationships have taught me...

I've been told that I should be more argumentative, to try to persuade the other side, to be more opinionated. I figure that your opinion is just as important as mine, who am I to try to convince you that I have the only correct answer. For the restaurant, the guy I dated was not a vegetarian so I figured whatever he was in the mood for to eat, meat wise, that restaurant would serve some kind of vegetables that would suite me just fine.

To me, being an Adventist means...

I've been in the structure, I've been in the world. When I returned to the structure in a small country town church, I went grocery shopping on Saturday (Sabbath) afternoons only to see the deacon, the church Treasurer and other authoritative members of the church also shopping there. A married church member came to my house to loan me his rototiller and asked if he could bring me a six pack of beer (but said he wouldn't drink any), wanting to spend time with me... I knew I had been out of the church for a number of years but what I was witnessing was amazing - and not in a good way. I then started going to another church about 20 miles away only to witness similar happenings. The Lord was tugging at my heart strings to come back to Him. At that time I decided to worship at home the best I could as the guy I lived with was not a christian of any sorts.

I witnessed this kind of behavior while at a bording academy so, years later and in different states, I found the structure church really hadn't changed all that much. I attend a home church fellowship via telephone studying from the King James Version of the Bible and the original Spirit of Prophecy writings. If I'm not mistaken, there are only two books, Steps to Christ and the 1858 Great Controversy, that have not been changed. All other writings purchased at the Book and Bible House are changed from what was originally written. It is such a blessing to have found Echoes from the Past to purchase these original pioneer books from.

In five years, I see myself

I am excited about the next five years. These are in no particular order...wherever the Lord leads. His guidance is my prayer:

* Move further out in the country with a creek/stream running through the property away from the hustle and bustle of the world, yet close enough to the post office and need Internet for my business. I've been researching different areas, both in the states and abroad.

* More land to grow more non GMO heirloom foods and possibly more chickens to sell the eggs from. I sold eggs, produce, soap and my art at farmer's markets a few years ago but stopped due to a position change where I worked. Now I'm self employed and look forward to growing healthy food again for the public but possibly as a truck farm instead of market stand.

*Expand my business. I would like my studio to be in a cabin all to itself so I can get my home back. On the same property but I'd like to not have my kitchen table as my near daily shipping area, etc. That would be so nice.

*I grew up on horseback and hope to get back into it.

*I hope to have a camper or motor home to sneak away for a few days ... often ... to do more sight seeing, hiking, photographing wild and wondrous places.

* Married with a dozen kids (biological and/or adopted) ... I'm teasing, of course as I'm not a spring chicken anymore.

* Last but definitely not least, a Christ loving man to share my life with would be wonderful. I would love to have someone to study Christ's teachings with, growing closer to the Lord together.

My favorite Bible passage is...

Nearly everyday I read a passage that has a real strong meaning, there are many I love to think on but here is a couple:

It may be common but I do love Philippians 4:13 for obvious reasons.

Deuteronomy 18:13. I am in no ways perfect but the center margin of my Bible teaches me the meaning of perfect is upright or sincere for which I certainly am sincere. I have a lot of learning and re-learning to do.

One final thing I'd like to mention...

I rescue and rehabilitate animals and birds from time to time so there may be a call about a baby squirrel, a kitten, etc., that needs a home, some temporary, others a forever home.

That special guy the Lord blesses me with should have the same love for His creations as I do.
