I am fairly new to the Adventist faith. My involvement in the Adventist Church began when I enrolled in an Adventist college to pursue a degree in nursing. A recent graduate, I'm finding it difficult to meet new friends of faith and stay connected with those I've met throughout my studies. I've learned that fellowship is vital, especially for new Adventists, if we desire to further build God's kingdom within ourselves and our surroundings.
As an individual I enjoy activities that have the potential to further integrate me into the world without making me "of" the world.
I enjoy anything (nearly to an extreme) educational. I find intellectuals fascinating; however, I despise arrogance. I have a deep passion for literature and history and often feel that a bookstore is the only place on Earth that makes sense. I'm different, as we all are, and I love that about myself.
I'm the type of girl who is initially overlooked, often taken for granted, but never settles. Oh, and I'm also the kind of girl who uses TiVo to record C-SPAN. Random, I know :).

I feel it would be incredibly presumptuous for me to answer this question because any potential "date" is circumstantial in nature. Explanation: what appeals to any two people may not appeal to any other two people. :)
Being an Adventist means to me that I never have to experience death; for I have received everlasting life. It also means being called by God to be loyal to Him first, and to walk with Him as His disciple for eternity.
My future is ultimately up to God and the situations in which He places me. As a young adult I've been trying to listen more to God and discover what He has created me to achieve for His purpose. I feel God has placed within me a true desire to help others and that desire has let me to the field of nursing and the study of psychology. What will happen next is unknown to me, but I would love to pursue a Master's degree in Counseling or Nursing and contribute to mission work.
For my age I have had many life experiences (this is what I am told) and at a young age decided that the world was a horrible and often evil place. The following verse touched my soul at a young age and forever changed my outlook:
"Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good".
This is my personal mission statement :)
