Introduction

I want to provide you with some very valuable resources/tools, that have attributed greatly to my unique and intimate [non sensual] relationship, which I never though was possible to be in. Of most importance is a book titled “Finding the Love of your Life” by Neil Warren. It speaks of 10 proven principles for choosing the right marriage partner, 7 dangers to look for while dating, and understanding the necessity of setting physical boundaries early. The decision we each made early, to have no physical contact of any kind, is one main ingredient that has allowed us to know each other from the inside out, and have the transparent relationship we have.

The other excellent resource is a book or c.d.'s named “Love and Respect” by Emerson Eggerich, based on psychological studies and Biblical principles, he teaches how to communicate effectively. He teaches one big reason men and women can find it difficult to communicate, is God made men to speak and listen in blue, and women in pink. This is just one practical area I have come to realize, and how to make changes, and begun to enjoy the benefits.

I want to encourage each of you, not to compromise on what you are looking for in a man. Even though it took me a year, the Lord had a Christ centered woman who is beautiful inside, waiting for me....and I did not have to settle for anything less than what I was looking for....and in Gods goodness, He gave me far more than what my expectations were. Be patient with the Lord, He knows what He is doing, and if you dont compromise, He will bless you, and provide you with more than you could have imagined. Did I during my year of searching question this? Yes I did, but the Lord is faithful. He says- Be still, and know that I am God.

I am presently enjoying open, deep, rewarding communication and am in a committed relationship, and am blessed. This is exclusive to her, although we do send cards back and forth on here.

---The Lord is the main focus in my life, my joy, Redeemer, Friend, and I enjoy sharing about Jesus. I am grateful for His gift of grace, and what He has done in me. I enjoy being in nature, bicycling after work, walking trails, especially my organic gardening, being outdoors, scenic places, mountain views. It is rewarding to be building/working with my hands, being creative, making improvements, and finding a solution to what others say can not be done. I enjoy animals... just being around them, helps me to see the creative power, uniqueness, and sometimes the humor God has put into them.

Some friends described me as-transparent, loving, honest, friendly to even strangers, humble, having a teachable spirit, hard working, ready to help , tolerant of others mistakes and faults, innovative, dedicated to Jesus, and reliable. I would probably add as well that I am simple, practical, and sensitive about others peoples feelings. You can find me shy at first in certain situations, am "far" from perfect, make mistakes every day, but try not to be complacent with where I am at.

Since I came to know the Lord, living a healthy lifestyle is of importance for myself, and would hopefully have some degree of importance to you as well. I have come to have an appreciation for the health message, including the use of natural remedies. Listening to music is something I really enjoy, and I am learning to play acoustic guitar, while looking forward to participating in special music in worship service and the nursing homes, when I get to that point.

Church service, sharing in Sabbath School and weekly prayer meeting are a high importance to me. Prayer meeting has become of very high importance to me, to pray for each other, and to share my own needs. As brothers and sisters in Christ, we need to get to know each other closely, so that we can be there for each other in time of need, to encourage and to be encouraged. The other area of high importance for me is morning devotion with the Lord to make it through the day.

I really enjoyed different U.S. Maranatha trips I have been on in times past, and have started helping ADRA in 2010. I try to make myself available for projects to those in need of help, whether it be a group or individually. Talents, knowledge, or skills is a gift given to us, and is really meant to be shared with others. Also enjoy when the church group goes to nursing homes to sing for the residents.

Since I put my previous business before children, I never had any of my own kids, however I still enjoy kids. They are precious and need a good example in their life. I do enjoy playing with and making the neighbor kids laugh, and playing guitar for them.

Since I do not watch any sports on T.V., I often have something of a spiritual nature on in the background, like 3abn as a radio, EGW cd's, Bible on cd's, ministries on relationships and having a healthy marriage, or music to feed myself with.

If someone points out a fault in another person, I think of a quote I once read that really changed my perspective on how I view others-"if you would have walked in their shoes, you would have likely turned out just like them". This helps me to be more accepting of others for who they are as a person. I guess another important principle for myself is not to look at other peoples faults, but look at what that person can become. I guess this is how Jesus looks at us.

I wish I could say the level of my relationship and trust has been constant with Jesus, but from the mountain tops down to the valley, one time I had permitted my feelings to get in the way, allowing my perception of the Lord to change. During my valley, I was in a position which I had to search a depth of my heart that I thought I would never have to look, and ask myself the question-"do I really want to continue to serve God anymore"? With the help of a sister in Christ and by Gods grace, I chose to stick it out with Jesus, and trust the heart of God. We are running a race, and are told it will not always be easy. It will sometimes be intense and will require perseverance on our part to finish the race. His Word has redirected my heart and mind to what is truth about our Lord as I continue to grow in grace. I am grateful for the multiple changes He has made in my heart, and am hopeful for the plans He has for me. Although I am not on the peak of the mountain, my anchor and roots are standing on Gods promises, as they continue to grow firmer and stronger than before because of the valley of life and I praise God for that, while I continue to trust more and more in His love.

I desire to find a Christian to share my life with, to learn and grow from and with each other. I am looking for someone who has a "daily" devotion, and who is growing in grace, not someone perfect....as that shoe does not fit me either. Thanks for reading my profile, and best wishes on your search.

What I'd like to do on a first date...

What ever we both would enjoy doing together. A nature walk, go somewhere in public that the main focus can be to converse with each other, and later on something that can be fun along with conversation, eating out, a church function, or whatever. Maybe even meet up at a Maranatha project? I can hear that one-Not !

My past relationships have taught me...

After I became a Christian... the importance of not being unequally yoked. That each gender was created to communicate differently. And the need to own up to where I myself have made mistakes.

To me, being an Adventist means...

Being so blessed with all the wisdom the Lord has given us on Bible teachings, Prophecy, the health message, instruction and direction on almost anything that comes up in our life. But most of all for the book Steps to Christ which teaches us how we come to Jesus, and how to form a love relationship with Jesus and God, and what it means to exercise the power of choice....this is the book that has taught me these things.

Continuing to allow the Lord to make changes in me, that others will be able to see Him living in my heart, so they will come to want- what or Who I have inside of me. Being a light for Jesus in a dark world, preferably mostly by my actions, but possibly by my words.

I am grateful the Lord has placed the desire in my heart to be interested in and to practice health and nutrition, home remedies, herbs etc., and healthy living.

In five years, I see myself

In 5 to 10 years, acquire an acreage to live in the country to enjoy all that comes with living in the wide open space. Also to continue deepening my trust of Gods heart, no matter what life throws at us. I know we can not sprout the seed, but it would be nice to see someone come to Christ through my efforts.

My favorite Bible passage is...

Only one?? I will try.
John 3:16 I grew up in the Catholic church being taught I was saved by my works....no grace by God or blood by Jesus. Now I see the love of God being saved by His matchless grace.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith. No matter how uncertain a situation may appear to us, Jesus promises to be the finisher of our faith, as long as we keep trusting in His heart...His heart of love in leaving the glories of heaven to be my Redeemer.

1 John 4:4 ... because greater is he that is in you,[Jesus] than he that is in the world [the devil]. This goes with the "power of choice", when faced with any temptation, we can and will be victorious calling on the power of Christ.

One final thing I'd like to mention...

If I was a non believer, how would you respond if I asked you the question-"why would I want to get to know Jesus, and what does Jesus do for you?"
