First there must be God, he is the foundation of all relationships, other wise there is no foundation to build on. A relationship will just fall apart without that foundation. Then honesty, respect, communication, and trust in a relationship is vital. I would like to meet someone that is active in the church, as I am active in my church. Someone that has a sense of humor because I love to laugh, I am a bit of a practical joker. I love Evangelism mission trips, I have now been on 3 trips so far and praying I have the opportunity to go again. My thought on mission trips is that everyone should go on at least one in their lifetime. You will never forget it or regret it.
They were the most inspiring and humbling experiences of my life.
I enjoy the simple things in life, walking, bike riding, motorcycles, parks, museums, reading, picnics in the park, zoos, aquariums, dinner out, vacations, and just staying home.
I am looking for someone that can communicate, especially when we have an argument/disagreement. Also, someone that truly understands that a relationship is a life long work in progress. Also understands that just because you have found the person you want to be with, does not mean you don't need to work on the relationship any longer. That is when the sometimes hard work begins. Someone that understands that you have to keep romance in your relationship by working at it. If you don't work on all aspects of a relationship, romance, love, trust, caring, honesty, spirituality, communication, among 100's of other things that makes up a good relationship it will grow stale and maybe die.

What I'd like to do on a first date...

To meet at coffee shop (don't have to drink coffee) to see if we are compatible. Then we can see where it goes from there. Again, honesty needs to come in to play here. This meeting is to see if we (BOTH) want to pursue a relationship, or just stay friends.

My past relationships have taught me...

That you must me equally yoked, otherwise there usually is a tug of war as to beliefs as to which one is right. God needs to be the foundation of all relationship, because without God leading the relationship there is no foundation and therefore nothing to build on. That honesty is the other necessity in a relationship that is to grow and last.

To me, being an Adventist means...

I am free from confusion, and fear of God. I was not born into the Adventist religion so I was, as many were and are today, afraid of God. Being an Adventist has introduced me to the true God, a God of LOVE, a forgiving, kind, gentle, meek, long suffering God. The list of God's attributes is never ending. I thank God that he brought me to where I am today, and I pray daily that I continue to grow in faith.

In five years, I see myself

I want to grow closer to God by doing his will.

My favorite Bible passage is...

Psalm 23: Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. We walk this walk daily, and I take comfort in the fact that his goodness and mercy follow me with each step I take each and every day.

One final thing I'd like to mention...

I am open, caring, loving, giving, and so much more. I have a son and 4 beautiful grandchildren, that I wish I had more time with...
