Hi everyone, My name is Skylar. It's kind of weird for me to be trying this whole online dating thing. What ever happened to a night on the town, or meeting people at a big BBQ that a mutual friend put on, or those kind of things? But hey, if it works, and I end up meeting people I wouldn't have met other wise, then I can dig it!... I guess if I had to describe myself I'd say that I'm a caring, friendly, genuinely nice guy, that doesn't take life for granted. However I'm also a total rebel. I am fairly shy and a little on the quiet side at times, but hey, look out, cause I know how to have a good time and make you laugh until your stomach hurts! I absolutely insist on enjoying my time here on earth, so I don't spend much time doing things that don't make me happy. I'm totally in love with all the things I do for a living which is everything from logging/running a sawmill, to hunting and trapping. I'm self employed and run at all odd hours of the day and night. So if your looking for the settled down, predictable guy who is always gonna be at work at 9and off at 5 kind of thing, I'm not it. I'm a hard worker, I make decent money, and I'm responsible about paying my bills and all that good stuff; but I'm just to much of a free bird to be tied down to a " real job". If I wake up and it's a better day for huntin than workin....then I'm going huntin! Fortunately, usually my fun and my work are the same thing so it works out well. I can honestly say that I wouldn't trade places with anyone else on the planet! I love my life!...I am a Seventh Day Adventist, but I'm not overly religious. By that I mean I don't attend a church anymore and haven't for several years. However don't let that fool you, my faith in God is unwavering, and I feel I have a good relationship with my savior. I quit going to church not because I don't believe the message, I believe the message with my whole heart! I got tired of the back biting and squabbling that goes on in the SDA church. Let me put it this way; too many people looking into each others shopping cart and starting fights because so and so had a steak in their cart! Come on, Really??? I got tired of that kind of crap. I spend a lot of time studying scripture and the spirit of prophecy, as well as the writings of the early pioneers of the church such as Jones and Wagoner. I love the Lord and lean on his mercy as a helpless sinner. But hey, there's always room for improvement on a spiritual level....Maybe you can help me out there. :) I love music! Actually to be honest; I can't imagine life without it! My favorite kind is definitely rock n roll, which is pretty much the only thing I listen to on a regular basis but I can dig anything that is good. I also play guitar and I'm fairly good at it!...I also love football; and I'm a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings! Even though they me off more often than not, because they lose in the dumbest ways! Lol I guess that means I'm a loyal fan because it doesn't matter if they're the top team in the league or the worst, I'm still there yelling at the tv! lol I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but it's the way I am. So if your wondering if I'd be a loyal guy, I can honestly say; absolutely! I'm cautious about what I commit to but when I decide I'm in, I'm ALL in! Like I keep saying, I enjoy my life immensely, however I lack the most important thing in this life. I still haven't found my soul mate, and that is why I'm on here. I need to find that special woman that completes me and fills that void in me so full that all other women disappear from my view. I totally believe in true love, but I think it's rare that anyone finds it because people settle before they find it. I believe finding your soul mate is a lot like finding your best friend, because essentially that's what they are. After all, you can't really pick a random person off the street and decide to make them your best friend. There has to be a connection there or it will never work. But finding your soulmate in a lover is even harder yet because now there also has to be attraction there. I am absolutely determined to either find my soul mate or spend my whole life single because I've never seen good results from people settling for anything less. That is in my mind the worst mistake a person can make. So I'm on here for casual dating, with the hope of bumping into my soul mate in the process. Thanks for checking out my profile, if your interested don't be shy, shoot me a message. If not, hey I'm fine with that and I hope you do find what your looking for in the near future!

A date to me is really just a chance to get to know you. What we do is irrelevant to me because I all ready do what I wanna do everyday. So for me the first date is gonna be about YOU, not what we do. So for me, honestly casual dinner or coffee is a good place to meet, and once I kind of have an idea what you might like to do, then make bigger plans for the next date.
As an Adventist we have been intrusted with the greatest truth in the universe. This is an a amazing gift, but also a great responsibility. We are the light bearers to the world and the bride of Christ. I don't think being an Adventist is about eating healthy and dressing modestly...Both are probably advisable if you wanna be a healthy, happy human being, but not essential to your salvation or anything else. Rather, an Adventist is a warrior for Christ. One who will accept and live by the truth as it is in Christ, thereby obtaining the mind of Christ. I'll stop there, this could go on for a thousand pages. lol
Ultimately I would like to be in the kingdom of God within the next five years. But, if I have to settle for this dark world I guess I see myself on the same path I'm on now. Just farther along.
I have several, the two that come to mind first are Phil 2:5-8. To me this sums up the character of Christ and is the model for us to follow as a human being. The second verse is Isaiah 25 :8-9 I look forward to that day; I look forward to that day, when the Lord comes out of his silence, and shakes mightily the earth!
