I'd like to do a community service activity for a first date.

The only expectations we should have is the expectation to learn more about ourselves and the person with whom we are sharing our time. Going into any relationship with preconceived ideas or lingering emotions from past relationships is disastrous at best. Don't compare. Don't contrast. See each new person for who they are at the moment. People change and we cannot control that. We can only control how we respond to those changes in others and, more often than not, how we respond to the changes in ourselves. Be honest, because truth will come to light despite anyone's attempt to snuff it out. Enjoy the moment and there just might be a future to share.

Being an Adventist means that I have to give an account to God, no matter what anyone else thinks. It's a chosen lifestyle devoted to following God's precepts and reflecting the love of Christ. It's a way of living that has already prepared me for being an individual, not someone who follows after the latest trends. It means that I will work diligently, eat healthily, laugh heartily, cry honestly, love sincerely, pray earnestly, live boldly, mourn reflectively, die briefly and ultimately...rejoice greatly!

I'd like to go back to school and earn another degree. I have not yet decided whether or not to pursue a doctorate in education or to get a degree in a completely different field. Regardless, in the next five years I'd like to take at least two mission trips and become actively involved with at least one charity.

Wow! There are really too many to have just one, but I'll select Revelation 21, verse 4: "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." When my father died in January of 2004 I was in a very dark place. I am finally starting to enjoy the "Light", but I know this earth is not our home. It's good to know that when it's all said and done God's going to make everything right...and we will share in the ultimate relationship...face-to-face communion with Jesus.

MUST LOVE ANIMALS...ALL CREATURES, GREAT AND SMALL, THE LORD, GOD MADE THEM ALL! I love nature and wildlife. God has placed in my heart a deep love for His creation: I recycle religiously, befriend the homeless and ease the burden of strays and wild animals.
