What I'd like to do on a first date...

Anything, really. I think active things like bowling, mini golf, a hike, pottery/craft classes, would be good ideas for a beginning meeting. Less awkward than a dinner/movie thing, though I enjoy doing that with friends all the time.

My past relationships have taught me...

That you have to get out of your own way to be able to interact with people. I'm never going to be truly proficient at this, but it's been a good lesson to learn. I'm a true introvert, not that I don't enjoy people a lot, but I am very internally focused, so sometimes it just gets to be too much inside my head. I have learned that taking things at face value is important, and not to extrapolate too much from interactions.

To me, being an Adventist means...

It means following the Bible to the best of my ability. I don't believe anyone can have the exact same picture of God as I do, and everyone has ideals that they fail to live up to. I have been in the Adventist church my entire life and the best thing I see in it is that many people who choose this faith have a deep desire to do what God asks of us, and the tenacity to try and figure out what that is. Regardless of whether it is easy or convenient.

In five years, I see myself

I have a job that pays the bills, and I have ambitions of starting my own business. But I don't plan that far in advance anymore. Life has taught me that you can plan all you want, but God has his own plans. I'm up for all kinds of adventures, and going wherever He leads.

My favorite Bible passage is...

I don't know if I have a favorite, a couple of my favorite Psalms are 93 and 121. I guess I love them especially because they not only use beautiful language, but they focus on the power of God, whether as worthy of our worship, or as a promise that He can save us from anything.
