I am a transplanted Texan living in the PNW for over 10 years now. I love back-to-basic living and learning about all types of topics. I love kids and animals. I'm pretty easy going about things. I have a strong belief in God. I am very active in helping others to reach their potential and fulfilling God's purpose for them.
I am looking for someone who is serious about living out God's purpose for them. I am interested in finding someone who is serious about stretching beyond what they perceive as their limitations. Giving back to others is a passion of mine. I hope to find someone to work along side me showing God's love to the less fortunate. I see the things of Revelation happening on a daily basis. I hope to find someone to walk these last days of earth's history together.
Communication is essential for any relationship to work. Over the years, I have learned to communicate and listen effectively. I am interested in finding someone who can do the same with me.
Looks, education, etc are not as important as the character of a person. I do hope the person who God has picked out for me takes care of himself and follows any new health information to the best of their ability.

First date activities should be something you both enjoy but not where there cannot be conversation. A first date needs to be an opportunity for you to learn about each other. Is there sufficient interest for a second date? Some ideas for my ideal first date would be a picnic followed by a walk in the park or a local nature walking trail.
Things I have learned from past relationships is that each of us need to be whole until ourselves. We need to be strong in our own identities without having to rely on the other person. We need to be strong in our own beliefs without trying to hitch a ride to heaven on the other person's coat tails. Relationships are not to be two half circles meeting to form one, but two complete circles intersecting.
The most important thing in a relationship is the ability to have effective communication. Communication is not just sharing what happened in your day, but what you think and feel, what are your dreams and aspirations. It is being open and vulnerable, trusting that the other person has your back.
Being an Adventist means that as a member of the Remnant church, I have a special responsibility to share God's message by living a life following the truth I have to the best of my ability. It means not shying away from sharing the hard truths when God clearly shows me that is what He wants me to do. It means being the best sermon others can see.
Personally, I do not believe we will still be around in five years. However, we are to not to just become a hermit, waiting for Christ's return. So, my goals for the next five years:
-get some land where I can grow as much of my own food as possible
-get my business Kindling Dreams off the ground
-earn my doctorate in natural health (or related topic)
- travel, travel, travel
Isa 65:24 'And before they call, I will answer; yet while they are speaking, I will hear.'
Jer 29:11 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.'
I have many favorites but the first one reminds me that God's answer is on the way even if I do not see any part of it. It reminds me that evil angels often fight with God's messengers to try to keep them from bringing the answers. God always wins.
The second verse reminds me that God has a great purpose for each of us. He wants us to be happy and fulfilled while living out His purpose. Sometimes we get bogged down in the daily grind of life's troubles. This verse offers hope that God has a better future for us, if we follow His guidance.
Because I love to learn, I am always studying various topics. I love to take this information and create programs to share with others. It is all about helping others overcome challenges and achieve God' purpose. I just finished my counseling internship with a goal of using whole body methods to help people spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I have studied alternative medicines for almost as long as I have been an Adventist (30 yrs) so I can help people achieve their potential using God's nature. I love to take pictures of nature.
To let the reader know more about me:
Meyers-Briggs - INFJ
Life Languages - Influencer, Contemplater, Doer (top 3)
Love Language - Physical Touch, Words of Affirmation
Temperament - Choleric Sanguine (mainly Choleric)
Each of these fit me pretty well.
I attend church in the community north of where I live. Most people there know of me. I'm the only transplanted Texan who works as a counselor, writer, teacher. It would take maybe 10 minutes to track me down.
I feel I have a lot to offer the person God has for me. If interested, I would love to get to know you better.
