I am a very happy person that loves to laugh, but I also know when to be serious. I don't care for being serious though, so I avoid it at all costs :). My laugh is usually what people know me by. They hear my laugh and know I'm nearby (although it travels, so they are not sure HOW close I am). I constantly get people remarking about how my laugh cracks them up and is contagious. I've learned to laugh at even some of the most troublesome situations. I'd rather be happy than miserable any day. God regularly converts my bad days (or weeks) into good ones so I rarely ever look at my own bad experiences in a negative way. James had it right when he wrote: "count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;" (James 1:2), and Peter topped it off when he said: "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you" (1 Peter 4:12). Peter cracks me up :D - that verse gets me every time. With the exception of my rapid mouth movements, I'm actually a very laid back person. I hate large crowds and loud noises with a passion, and I have always found great satisfaction during quiet time. This means large cities (and, ironically, people who don't know when to stop talking) are my arch-nemeses. I also really enjoy adventure, but I tire of it quickly, so I can only take it in short doses. I am a Physics/Computing major, so you also have to expect some level of nerdiness. You may be better off assuming these levels to be extreme. In my defense, I don't like comic books and don't play Dungeons and Dragons so the nerdiness level gets dropped quite a bit there (yay!).

So, hopefully it is quite obvious that I am looking for someone who appreciates a good (or even lame at times) sense of humor, who can tolerate gibberish once in a while, and who likes adventure (in moderation). Above these things, though, she must be spiritual. God must come first, because it wont work if He's not. Jesus is the only reason I'm still sane (if that's how you'd describe it) and even still alive, so nothing should threaten that relationship.

What I'd like to do on a first date...

Eat at a nice, quiet restaurant (not Taco Bell, sorry :P) or have a picnic in the park. It really depends on the time of year, I hate the cold, so restaurant for the win during the winter. Also, NICE is the key word for the restaurant - I'm pretty picky about cheap restaurants, even if the food is good.

My past relationships have taught me...

Talk is cheap. I can say say whatever I want, but without some sort of action to prove it, my eloquent words was nothing more than a waste of breath.

To me, being an Adventist means...

Everything. I would not be where I am today and know what I know if it were not for the Adventist message. Nothing else comes close. I have listened to other denomination's messages and they are not as powerful as the message that I hear from a traditional Adventist pulpit.

In five years, I see myself

Graduate from College (hopefully debt free)
Start Graduate School

Not much going on here :(

My favorite Bible passage is...

Jeremiah 33:3 which states "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." When I first read the passage it was actually an accident, I was supposed to be looking up Jer. 30:3 and found this one. Once I read it I took it as a promise and it has been an amazing motivator to learn whatever I can about God and His creation. Not only that, but I have found that it is true. When I ask Him for answers, He answers and shows me profound things which I would never have even stumbled upon without Him.
