Introduction

I am a caring person and always try to not hurt another person's feelings. I am new to SDA having just been baptized in September of 2012. I attend Daniel/Revelation Bible study each week and also a Patriarchs & Prophets Bible study each week. The SDA Church has opened an entire new world for me.

Love the outdoors -- camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, walks along the beach, mushroom hunting.

Enjoy small groups of people vs. large parties.

Hardworking, accurate and a little bit wacky in my humor (according to my children and grandchildren). Close to my children and grand children.

Religious -- I attend every Sabbath.

What I'd like to do on a first date...
Anything quiet where we could talk and get to know more about each other.
My past relationships have taught me...
That true lasting love is a treasure and should be preserved and worked on daily. Each person needs to give 100% to the relationship at all times. Work together for common goals, listen to the other persons opinion.
To me, being an Adventist means...
I have found the true direction Christ wants us to take and we must prepare for the 2nd coming. It is our duty to spread the Word of God to others who have not found that path in life. I am currently attending a weekly session on evangelism to help spread God's message.
In five years, I see myself
I have just retired in December, 2012 but I am looking for something part time to fill my free time. Hopefully, I will find someone to love and care for until death do us part.
My favorite Bible passage is...
James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." This reminds us that the devil is always at work trying to tempt us. Ephesians 6:11 "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." This verse reminds us that God will always drive Satan back if we only ask.
One final thing I'd like to mention...
My journey back to God has been an experience of joy and blessing for me. So many people in my congregation have given of their time and talents to help me on this journey. They have invited me to Bible Studies and have given me a knowledge I never found in any other church, and I am continuing to grow in my knowledge of the Lord on a daily basis. My children now look at me and tell me that I have changed so much in this past year. SDA Church has been a true blessing for me in finding my way back to Jesus.
