Introduction

I am looking for someone to spend my life with and love. Someone to share the "good the bad and the ugly" with (haha). Life is all about being with people that you know love you and care about you even when you make mistakes. Someone to lean on when things aren't going right and someone I can help when they're down. It's all about the never-ending circle of giving. If people were more interested in giving than getting the world would be a better place.

What I'd like to do on a first date...

Talk openly about our life goals and compatibility. I don't want to get emotionally attached unless we match well. I would be up for an outdoor date like a hike, walk, climb, bike ride and picnic outdoors. Somewhat private so we can talk personal stuff. Restaurant is okay but not as nice for conversations in my opinion.

My past relationships have taught me...

That apparently not everyone sees marriage as "till death do us part". They all say that's what it is but in practice apparently it’s supposed to be a "happily ever after". If not, when some conflicts come up then it’s all off and I'm moving on. I do believe in correct matching but after you both decide you match there is no need for a long drawn out dating/engagement period. Conflict is important in a marriage. A conflict-less relationship means that there is one person that always gives in without question and over time that person will become bitter and loos the love they once had. It's all about balance though. It is important to communicate and deal correctly with conflict. It is what most people have issues with. Not dealing with conflict and just ignoring it or refusing to talk about an issue is not good. The key is communication with each other and with God. If you keep a close relationship with God and are honest and talk about how you feel and how the actions of the other makes you feel then you can come to a mutual agreement that both will be satisfied with. Especially if you put others first. No don't give up your individuality but try to see things from the others perspective. Most of the time it's just a misunderstanding.

To me, being an Adventist means...

Spending time getting to know God and sharing him with others. Also waiting for His soon return to take us home. Being involved in helping others that truly need help spiritually, physically, and emotionally.

In five years, I see myself

I plan on getting married and starting a family of my own. Own a house. My longer term goal is to own rental properties. Would like to live in the Pacific North West. Idaho, Montana are ideal but other places might be of interest. Alaska would be cool for a while. I am into rock climbing and mountaineering so my big projects for the next few years are: The Matterhorn West Face -- Wallowas’ Oregon, Half Dome and El-Cap Nose – Yosemite California, Rainier Liberty Ice Ridge – Washington, Denali Cassin Ridge or Slovak Direct -- Alaska. The list is longer for long term. This includes the 7 summits. Only have 6 left. Already did Kilimanjaro on a mission trip to Africa.

My favorite Bible passage is...

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 (NLT)

37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40 (NLT)

One final thing I'd like to mention...

If we match and things work out I see no reason for taking longer than 1yr from meeting to married. If you're the type that wants a long dragged out relationship then let me know you’re not for me. I am a person that what’s to get stuff done in life and don’t get stuck on details that won’t make a difference. That’s why I want to make sure we match before we move on. Also if you think we might match just message me. I’m not the type that thinks it’s not appropriate for a girl to ask to be considered. After all were all here to find the one we will spend life with. Oh yes another thing I don’t usually write much. I prefer to talk but I’m not the type that will talk forever. I can be quiet too.
