Hey there. Thanks for viewing my profile.
i moved to California a year ago, but otherwise was raised and lived in Massachusetts. I come from a very large extended family, which has helped shape who I am. Family is very important to me. In fact, I am usually happiest when I am surrounded by family. My sister is my best friend. The people I tend to spend most time with are my people - adopted family, if you will.
I can be pretty quiet when first meeting people, but can get loud and very talkative once I get to know a person. I love to laugh, and have a very broad sense of humor ranging from silly funny to dry and sarcastic. I also love a great discussion and debating. While conversation can get heated, I am Colombian, we get passionate. It does not mean we are arguing.
I enjoy traveling, hiking, camping, sports such as basketball, soccer, and volleyball, photography, gardening, movies, candle pin bowling, crafty stuff, people watching, reading, playing games, spending time with friends and family. I enjoy meeting new people and trying new things.
I currently work as an auditor for the church. This means I travel quite a bit during the week. Church work, especially church ministry work is pretty important to me. Before moving to California, I was very involved with my church. Since moving, I am not as involved, however ministry is still very important to me.
I am looking for someone who is going to challenge me. Someone who can make me laugh. God is the most important aspect of my life and I am looking for someone who also puts God first in his life. I am looking for someone who enjoys some of the same activities I do, is willing to share in new experiences, but is also happy spending time on his own.
I am not looking for a father figure, so please if you are in your 50's or older, I am not interested. Please do not send smiles or emails if you do not have a profile picture.

I prefer to do something spontaneous. The activity itself is not as important to me, dinner, coffee, hiking, shooting pool, batting cages, mini golf - an activity that allows some conversation.
The importance of shared values, patience, communication, lots of laughter. I've also learned how important it is to keep an open mind about your partner's interests but also keeping a hold of your own.
Being an Adventist to me means so many things. But in the end it comes down to love. Living your life as Christ did - in compassion and love for others.
A few of my short-term goals include finishing a 10K, and passing the CPA exam (one section down, three to go). Moving closer to family. Continuing to work for the church. Settled down and possibly starting a family.
There are so many passages I love, but my favorite at the moment can be found in Judges. In it, Gideon asks why him - when he is thought of as the lowest in the population - his tribe is the lowest and he is thought of as the least in his tribe. I like it because it is such a great reminder that we are at our strongest when we are at our weakest. In our weakness we are dependent on God and through Him, we are capable of anything.
