What I'd like to do on a first date...
As I love spending time in God's creation, I would like walking in a park, casually learning about the other person and their goals, their view of God, and of His idea of a real relationship.
My past relationships have taught me...
Patience.
To me, being an Adventist means...
Being an Adventist means, to me, that I can lean wholly on God in all things. I believe that God IS coming soon and I am longing for that time. My upbringing has grounded me in the teachings of this Church, this Faith. Though I wandered away, I never fully left my first love, the Faith. The daily commitment to be what God has planned for my life has been so helpful.
In five years, I see myself
Personally, I hope we are in Heaven in Five years. Can you imagine the joy of Celebrating EVERY Sabbath with our Lord?! But, if not, I will continue to follow the path I feel led toward at this time: Teaching others how to eat healthy and that 'Healthy' does not mean 'cardboard'. I also hope to continue my own journey toward a healthier me. And, perhaps, if it His will, I will have a wonderful, God loving man in my life who desires to assist in my walk with God and help in my desire to teach.
My favorite Bible passage is...
There are many. I find so much of His word touches me and answers my need wherever I turn.
One final thing I'd like to mention...
I long to get out of the City. I am looking to Christ to open doors as He desires. I have been 'burned' and am taking this new step with baby-steps. Please be patient. I am worth the wait. Material possessions do not mean a lot to me. I am interested in how you treat family. If you are honest and gentle, willing to listen and hear. Quiet walks mean more to me than $100 dinners.
