God needs to remain first in my life at all times. He needs to be the foundation on which the relationship is built, and things go smoother when you rest in Him.
To me, being an Adventist means...
Being an Adventist/ Christian means that every decision made, action, and word spoken are a reflection of my relationship with God. At the heart of it all, it means that I have accepted Christ as my personal Savior and have committed my life to following Him. It means that He is with me when times are good or bad. God has really worked in my life in the last few years as I have learned more and more about my faith as an Adventist specifically, and I am excited as I anticipate what He has in store in the future.
In five years, I see myself
I have learned in the last five years that my plans aren't always what God has planned, so I think it is about committing my dreams to Him and walking daily in a way that pleases Him and waiting to see how He moves.
My favorite Bible passage is...
Isaiah 40:31... The one thing of which God continually reminds me is that I need to rest and wait on Him and He will give me the strength that I need.
