My motto in life is found in Proverbs 14:23 "All hard work brings to profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty". In all that I do, I do it 110%. What I'd like to do on a first date...
The skies are the limits, but something to get to know the person better. I am a listener than a talker, but I am also able to hold a conversation. I enjoy outdoorsy activities, but also enjoy the indoorsy ones, as well.
To me, being an Adventist means...
Being an Adventist to me is being true to yourself where God is leading you and never wavering on your faith. God wants us all to be true stewards for Him and will not take the "second best" from anyone. Every day is a new challenge that we all need to endure, but having the basis of our core beliefs and values, then we "can do all things through Christ who strengthens ME and YOU".
My favorite Bible passage is...
I have many, but one of the bible passages that strikes me moreso now is the entire book of 1 John. Read it when you get the chance. But, especially 1 John 4:7-9 I strive to achieve daily. "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. This is how God showed his love among us; He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him." You realize that the word "Love" is mentioned over 690 times in the bible? That is quite a number. I believe that Love is the greatest thing that we can show to one another and is the basis that anyone needs for a solid ministry. Without love, it is like clanging cymbals and empty words. God IS Love and we have a dying world that needs to know this in every aspect of our lives.
One final thing I'd like to mention...
I believe that God has a reason for everything and a purpose for it. My life have had its ups-and-downs while yours did, too. But, I do not regret why things happened because it built me up to the person I am today.
