Introduction

So about me...I was born & raised in the Midwest an SDA. I’m more of what you’d call a“jeans & t-shirt”kind of girl, not too prissy, but definitely a lady. I have a huge love of animals, am driven, & currently working on getting my Masters in Elementary Education. My original plan had been go to medical school, but I think God changed my direction for me.
I went to an SDA boarding academy then onto Union College, graduating with BA in Biology (yes I was/am a nerd).
As for the love dept, have found quite a few Mr. Wrongs but not a Mr. Right yet. :) I know there is no such thing as a perfect guy, but I do feel like I know what core values I'm wanting/needing in a significant other. What I’m looking for is a good, kind SDA man that cares and respects me, is loyal, has similar views, wants to build a life together and most of all loves me just as much as I love him...unconditionally.

Essays

What I'd like to do on a first date...
Because I am not very gifted with the ability to be spontaneous, I like to be surprised... I'm up to go try anything (within reason) on a first date... picnic, hike, movie, dinner, dancing, star-watching, going to a play, etc.
My past relationships have taught me...
That you have to try no matter how scared you are or else you will never find someone... if you dont stick out your neck in fear of being hurt you will never find love.
To me, being an Adventist means...
Trying to be a good friend to all those that I come in contact with, be there for those around me, letting God lead my life in the direction that it is supposed to go and even if I stray off the path for a bit, I know that I will always find my way back and will be accepted back
In five years, I see myself
Finishing my Masters program and starting a career as an elementary school teacher (grades 1 - 4 preferably). I would like to find someone to share my life with but you can't rush those things. Own a home (with a yard for my wonderful Jack Russell, Daisy) and have good true friends.
My favorite Bible passage is...
Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". A friend showed me this passage when I was in college and unsure of my future or why things happen the way they do. I just think it's so powerful to know that the Lord does have a plan for each of us and that his plan includes for each of us to be happy and have the hope of a wonderful future.
One final thing I'd like to mention...
I know it's pry super silly, but I'm very proud of it. I'm of almost 100% German heritage. Our heritage has a huge impact on our lives, how we were raised and many of our personality traits. Some are good, some are bad, but my German roots make up a lot of who I am.
