What I'd like to do on a first date...
Nice walk @ 7am followed by a great "Champagne Breakfast", with very good food--lots of varieties of fresh fruit, homemade belgian waffles or specialty pancakes, fresh ground/made coffee, champagne, fresh squeezed orange juice.
My past relationships have taught me...
Pay attention to first impressions, ask questions to clarify, and communicate my thoughts, needs, wants. Communicate well. Pay attention to values; share same values. I value saying "I'm sorry' when I hurt someone & do it same day. Patience is very important & an "up" spirit/smile/be happy attitude that knows how to laugh appropriately.
To me, being an Adventist means...
1. being real, being a friend 2. given the knowledge of sound health information and ideas. Information/ideas that are simple to understand/simple to do & available--available resources/available in home resources.
In five years, I see myself
Develop & enjoy a relationship ---date, be"best friends", "soul mates" &"lovers" in a committed monogamous relationship. Sharing together, learning with & from each other, GROW. Laugh & kiss, listen & hold.........................or just be---be present.
My favorite Bible passage is...
Proverb 6:6 Ants are amazing! They have a great figure, they are so small & carry very large loads, ants execute organization--they just go! Have you ever seen an ant with an attitude--dragging a leg or something;or an ant stop, put its load down & take a 10min nap then reload & carry its load(raisin say)back home. It gets swatted at, stepped on & they just do not die. That Bible verse has taught me so much as I laughed at it as a kid(go to the ant thou sluggard. Sluggard??What's a sluggard? was my thought at age 7. Age 20 studying a profession at Loma Linda University, I thought alot about execute organization;efficient;time management. Age 40 I thought about "....consider her ways and be wise"--first time Ithought of "her" applied to ant, and first time I reflected on "consider" (her ways) "& be wise". Reflecting on doing what the Bible said to do. So I learned what is consider? what is be wise? Why? Learn by watching little , little things able to run their "government"=colony. Consider. Humans CAN also...do we choose to.
One final thing I'd like to mention...
