For a first date I like it simple like a meal together or meeting for coffee. Doing things that give us the chance to talk and get to know each other is wonderful and is an ideal situation for me.

I have only been married once - and sadly widowed. After almost thirty years of marriage I have realized that love is far more than a romantic fluttery feeling. Love is being there for the man in my life through thick and thin. Being reliable and consistent with the one you love is very important. Knowing that we are friends first puts the relationship on a solid footing. Honesty although painful sometimes is a must - and should be followed through with even though it can hurt at times. Remembering to love and to let yourself be loved is how I want to live.

I have been an Adventist for all of my life and still feel that this is God's church. The way I relate to the church is like this:

God's Church = Favourite Sports Team

When you love your team (the church) you follow it through it's good times and it's bad. You love it when it has good leadership and when it has "managers" that could be doing a better job than they are doing. You are there for it through thick and thin. You don't leave it just because you disagree with what it has said or done - just like your favourite team. If you love them, you love them. God's church is my favourite team and I will always be a fan.

To be honest, I'm not really sure where I see myself in five years.

I find the entire book of Revelation simply fascinating. It is full of so much hope and promise. I particularly love the passage where Jesus says that he is standing at the door knocking and waiting for us to open the door to him. He will never force himself on us - but wants us to let Him in.
