Just so you know, I'm taking this seriously, and I have a membership so I can reply to messages. I'm generally a confident and decisive person. Reading, learning new things, and exploring ideas add joy to my life. Authentic conversation on a heart to heart level is pretty much my favorite thing in the world.
I'm also very serious about my faith. I'm actively involved in ministry, but more importantly I am doing my best to orient my life around gratitude for all God has done for me.
I also love the outdoors, especially camping and hiking. My parents took my brother and I camping all time when we were kids, and I've been to a lot of amazing places. I'd like to visit all the national parks in my lifetime. When I can't get outside, I still like to get a good workout. I used to play basketball, I played in college an everything, but it's been a while. I still like to watch a game from time to time.
Reading is another great pleasure of mine. I could go on and on about books. Some of my favorites are Classic Russian novels by Dostoyevski and Tolstoy like Crime and Punishment and Anna Karenina. I enjoy a number of other classic novels some of my favorite authors are Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters. I also love CS Lewis and Philip Yancey on the Christian side. Recently I've enjoyed Tim Keller and Rob Bell.
I'm a good listener and a loyal friend. I'm a pretty good conversationalist. I like to laugh, discuss ideas, talk about people, or whatever comes to mind, especially enjoy conversation that comes from the heart. Education is also important to me. I have two masters degrees, though I'm pretty sure I'm done with school! But that certainly doesn't mean you have to have been to grad school for me to be interested, although it wouldn't hurt ;) If you love to learn, love a challenge, and enjoy authentic conversation, I'd bet you're my type. Add a passion for your faith and if you fit that description I would love to hear from you.
I'm looking for an equal partner. I'm not the kind of person who is passive in a relationship, and I'm not domineering either. I want someone I can support and believe in who does the same for me.
P.S. For those of you who are into Myers-Briggs, I'm an ENFJ (but the J part is not very strong). I really love people who are also N.

If a person is local, I like to have a relaxed first date, just meeting at a coffee shop or for gelato for some good conversation. If that goes well, something more substantial is a good follow-up.
Obviously if someone has traveled it's going to be more than that. I love going out to eat and the best dates are always when we talk for hours about interesting and meaningful things. I love men who love conversation. But it's also fun to get out and do something out-of-the-ordinary. My favorite date activity was when someone took me to a shooting range. It's not that I'm into guns or anything, but it was exciting and different.
Keep talking to God about my relationships. Spend real time to listen to Him. Make sure I am in His will and with a man who is drawing near to the heart of God before I allow myself to fall for someone. This has saved me from a lot of pain in the past.
I'm invested in the Adventist thing. For me it's about the message. I love the Sabbath, holistic spirituality (including health), and our theology is so cool. Adventism is such a beautiful expression of who God is. That being said, there are some individuals in this church who can be pretty terrible in the name of God, and I'm not naive to our flaws. But when I was in college I made the decision that I was not going to substitute anyone else's ideas of what Adventism is for my own best understanding, so those people don't bother me too much.
Right now I'm an associate pastor part-time. I'd like to make that full-time at some point in the near future. In five years I want to be well established in a thriving community.
Ps 116. This passage is so close to my heart. This is how God has worked with me.
