Introduction
I love to laugh and enjoy life. When I see a beautiful sunset, I'm witnessing the glory of God. If I'm spending time with family or friends, eating a delicious meal, hearing a great song... in all of these things I see the work of the Creator and I am in awe.
God is the center of my life and the source of all the things that I do throughout my day. Because I strive daily to make God the center of my life, I value kindness, compassionate service, honesty, faith, positive thinking, humility, and integrity. I enjoy reading, laughing, learning about nutrition and better ways of living, exercise, camping, rock climbing, photography, oil painting, and spending time with my family.
I spent several years in the military and now I am out, and nearly finished with my undergraduate degree in English. I will be getting my master's degree from Andrews University in theology to become a pastor.
I have studied and worked hard to have a greater understanding of a spiritual marriage between a man and a woman and I have narrowed down the qualities that I seek in a partner: kindness, intelligence, and faith (and shared interests are a plus)!
Thank you for visiting my profile and God bless!

I would love to visit an art museum, browse a bookstore, maybe see a play, go out to eat, anything outdoors. I'm open-minded.

Past relationships have taught me that it's very important for the Holy Spirit to be a central factor. When two people can invite the Spirit into their hearts and then work together each day to build a relationship, then the relationship itself becomes something sacred. I've also learned that we are not born the perfect mate for someone else, we have to work at it and practice it each day. It's important to communicate, to establish what your mate wants and desires and those things that bring them happiness and joy. If both people do this and then strive each day to bless the other person, like I said, the relationship becomes something sacred and rare.

Being an Adventist to me means having a living and active relationship with God through prayer. It also brings with it a great responsibility to love others and to express this love through charitable service. As long as there are people suffering in the world, Adventists have a job to do.

I served in the Army for a few years on the enlisted side, but I'm about to complete my degree in English. From there I will be going to Andrews University to complete my master's degree in theology to become a pastor.

"Be still, and know that I am God." -Psalm 46:10
Those moments in which we can find a quiet moment of peace, center ourselves, and return mentally to the things that truly matter - these are rare and precious moments, indeed.

The greatest accomplishment of my life would be that one day people might say that I was a good man, good at my profession, that I was a good husband and a good father; a kind and wise man.
