Essays

What I'd like to do on a first date...
I do not know, I am not into going out to restaurants since I like my cooking better. I do not like movies since most of everything in Hollywood is garbage for your brain. I like going to church and would like going out door to door and minister. Would not mind having flowers, or going hiking, or walking in the sand on a beach. Love nature since it reminds us of the beauty of what God created.
My past relationships have taught me...
To try to communicate better, be patient and to be kind. It is difficult to be in a relationship specially since there is the spirit of control between man and woman from the beginning of the earth's creation. Therefore, just like I have to treat others like I want to be treated, I expect the same in return.
To me, being an Adventist means...
Having the truth. I was raised a Christian but never knew about the religion until a year and a half ago. I had been searching for the real truth since 2001 and after studying different religions I am happy to be in the truth. It is the true remnant church since they truly believe in the 10 Commandments and the Bible. They are not like some religions who re-write the Bible, or like Baptists who believe in the silliness of the rapture. Been an Adventist has cost me my relationship with my family. However, sad that is I know in my heart that Jesus is happy that I am still following him even though my trials and tribulations have got me even closer to my Savior.
In five years, I see myself
Would like to be even closer to Jehovah and to hopefully finish writing a book he has put in my heart. Would also like to start a ministry for parents who have lost their children.
My favorite Bible passage is...
I have so many here are some: Philippians 4:13, "For I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me." Psalms 46:1-2, "God us our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea." Psalms 18:2, "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety."
One final thing I'd like to mention...
I am quite sensitive and believe in been positive, thoughtful and kindness. This is why when I pray in the morning I ask God to help me and to fill me with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:20
