To me, being an Adventist means...
Seventh-day Adventist's believe that Jesus Christ, as revealed in the Bible, is at the very center of the Seventh-day Adventist beliefs. Seventh-day Adventists follow Biblical teaching regarding the Sabbath. They observe this holy day on Saturday, the seventh day of the week. Following the guidelines in scripture, the Sabbath is observed from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday. It is a day of rest and no unnecessary work is done. This sacred day is devoted to Bible study, church services, family activities and Christian witnessing.
My favorite Bible passage is...
Luke 11:9 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. John 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
