I am very active in my church and enjoy being with people and sharing my faith. I am a fun-loving person that enjoys the beach and pool, reading, cooking, playing games, and relaxing and laughing with family and friends. Simple pleasures in life and someone to share them with are what bring joy to my heart. I currently enjoy the warmer months in New England, the cooler months in sunny Florida, and traveling to see family in Tennessee.

I would like to take time to get to know whether our personalities are compatible. I love going out to eat, enjoying nature (especially at the beach), just doing something fun while sharing our backgrounds and thus learning more about each other.
Past relationships and life in general have taught me that putting the other person first will hopefully prompt a similar response. You usually get out of a relationship as much as you are willing to put into it. Be willing to compromise on the small stuff, but be steadfast in what the Lord expects from us. Treat others as you want to be treated (Golden Rule). Ask the Lord to give you eyes to see the goodness in others and to be willing to accept them where they are. Try to be as Christlike in character as possible, and be willing to admit when I am wrong. Make the Lord the foundation of your relationship.
Being a SDA means living my life always anxiously awaiting my Savior's soon return and being ready to spend eternity with him. It means taking the time daily to build a relationship with the Lord and receiving a blessing by spending quality time with Him on His special day, the Sabbath. It means taking seriously the Three Angels Message and looking for ways to share the love He has for me with others who are searching. It means having a personal relationship and accepting His sacrifice for my sins.
After 34 years of marriage, I miss having that special relationship of sharing life together. I hope, if it is the Lord's will, to have met someone that I can again experience that with. If not, I will continue to draw closer to the Lord and seek the fullness of His Holy Spirit and try to be a good witness for Him.
John 3:16 is probably the most quoted Bible text because it relates how much God loves us and how much Christ gave to save us. Matthew 6:33 tells me if I want the rest of my life to fall in place according to what God wants for me, I need to first develop a relationship with Christ and seek His righteousness. The gospels help me to get a clearer understanding of Christ and what He came to show us- the deep love of God for each and every one of us. Rev 21 gives me hope because it tells me that there is something special planned for us without the pain we often experience in this world- it tells of Eden restored. From Genesis to Revelation the theme is love so how can we really pick a favorite verse. Prophecy is what brought me into the church 36 years ago because I saw God's plan throughout history and knew I wanted to be a part of that plan.
