Introduction
I am adventurous and love the outdoors, especially sailing, skiing, and cycling. The Lord is always first in my life. I attend church weekly, but sometimes will spend it out in nature instead. I am looking for a long-term relationship, not a friends with benefits. I'm not in any hurry though, and want to find a good friend first that shares the religious values and love for the outdoors I share. I have two children, 10 and 13. One is with me most of the time, the other is with his father. I am looking for someone that wants to support and encourage each other's dreams. I look forward to enjoying our common interests and appreciating our differences as well. You are comfortable with being on your own, but you feel life is richer with a companion to share the view.
Keeping in shape is important to me and I hope you share that belief. I enjoy working out several times per week whether it involves lifting weights, yoga, aerobics, or a good hike.
I live fairly simply in my home and on the boat. In my home space, it is important to me to keep the clutter down. I feel that the more you own, the more that owns you and makes life complicated.
Dating at this age, I realize most of us have attachments that may include children, and ex's in our past. I realize the importance of recognizing time is needed for our past as well as our present. In that same concept, I believe a successful relationship cherishes an inner core between two people. If that sounds of interest to you, then, by all means, read on.

Essays
Grab a coffee, and walk and talk. Keep it simple. Get to know each other, see if there is potential for a second meeting.

What is important, what should be let go, how to apologize and move on, that God must be placed first, the importance of standing up for my mate and supporting him to be the best that he can be, the importance of laughter, what I need, and what I can give, how important it is to give more than you expect in return

Well, to others it can seem peculiar, but to me, it feels like home. Coming from the "world," It is something I have grown to love and have found peace with it. I still have struggles many days, but it has helped me understand what really matters in the big picture. Nobody can take the walk for us. In the end, it is God and us, no pretenses, no secrets. I am thankful for our awesome God who continually surprises me and believes I can handle so much more than I thought I could.

I plan to work on some nursing certifications, and do missionary travel 1-2 times/year. I have many bucket list items I hope to achieve while I am able. Meanwhile, this is an important time period for my children in developing their foundation. I hope to be their encouragement in their walk with the Lord, and further teach them how to be excellent helpmates for someone else in the future.

I love the water, and love adventure. This is not something that others can be taught. It either is or isn't. Sailing is so very important to me. I want to share that with someone else. Oh, I do eat fish occasionally. I think that if we want to meet someone, we need to make it happen. Otherwise, we sit on the sidelines of life.
