Know that it's my last first date.

True friendship is an absolute must--but very rare to find. Honesty is indispensable--yet little practiced or appreciated. Trust is fragile, and must be safeguarded at all times. Love is a gift--and can never be earned, nor should it be taken for granted.

To a large extent, Adventism is just a name--like Wham or FriChik. We have to have a name to identify & unify ourselves. But beyond that, what is important is that we not just follow the 28 fundamentals so we can be labeled something, but that we FOLLOW them because we LOVE God and that is what you do when you love someone. You do what makes them happy--and in the end it makes you happy, too. A label is not going to save you. But a personal Saviour will. It is not my goal so much to be a great Adventist--but a humble Christian. To have a daily walk with our wonderful Heavenly Father, who has given us an awesome privilege to know Him personally IF WE CHOOSE.

Jeremiah 29:11-13

11) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

12) "Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you."

13) "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." (NIV)

Sometimes I feel like God was speaking this just for me--knowing that I would need not only the comfort of knowing my existence is not just an accident, but to be reminded that His blessings are conditional. Sometimes it's easy for me to just want Him as a Sugar Daddy--"Give me! Give me!" But He wants me to do my part as well, and that is to truly seek Him & His will. Not always easy...

My package may not be perfect, but if you open me up--you might find the jewel you've been looking for. You just might have to work your way through some duct tape. :0)

I've come to terms with alot of my personal issues. Accepting that you are far from perfect is not an easy thing--at least for me. But I finally have realized that we are all hopelessly flawed. And only God can save us from the relentless attacks of the devil to persuade us that we will never be "good" enough. I'm still not where I'd like to be in my walk with God, but at least I know I'm on the right path. I would really like to have a mate to walk that path beside me, but if I must walk alone, so be it. My prayer is that God may bless each of us with our heart's desire!
